I don't get it.... So many friends of mine left the game. They would stay if Zenimax would be interested in creating a good game, but after months of bugs, lag and zerg they left. After having not enough time for ESO I have to say.... I am not missing it and not because I am not missing a good MMO... No.. I would love to play one. But ESO seems to be a very crap-MMO - unfortunately. Zenimax started with many bugs and huge lag and we all hoped they will fix it. They did (nearly) nothing until know and the only thing I remember from the last few weeks: They stop doing their regular maintenance every week (not a good omen).

With the current state of pvp this game will be dead within a few months. PVP was the only thing holding this game together and it is in such a [snip] poor state at this point 2 of the 3 pvp guilds I'm in have basically called it quits in the last 2 weeks. Zerg trains everywhere, no small scale fun battles where you actually use your skills instead of spamming 1 ability, no decent servers to play on (either chillrend with its lockouts/lag or get zerged by AD once you take a resource)

this is the point where you try to fix things with coding, ak get rid of pvp buffs (which are counter productive, you want the losing forces to rally not leave campaign)
or give us small scale battlegrounds.

What's really funny too is everyone wants Imperial City right now but doesn't realize what a cluster it's going to be if they don't fix some of the other nonsense first (Purge, Nirn, and all the other current arguments)

Purge needs a hard, hard nerf.

Reduce the number of players affected, make it remove only one effect at a time, and add things back to the list of stuff that couldn't be purged (oil catapults, anyone?)

Atleast for now, Jean Luc Picard bids ESO goodbye. I might come check out Imperial City IF it gets released.

We are all standing in the ashes of what could have been the best PvP MMO of the last 5 years.

It's simply heartbreaking to see a game with this much potential just rot away because of internal management issues and politics.

So much neglect. Over a year of PvP with crippling lag, bugs, and exploits with no significant new content. So much internal scope and mission creep. We hear about all these amazing additions and new content at quakecon a YEAR ago, then all of that effort completely falls of the radar? Developers on record saying that templar issues are a bug, then suddenly they are features.

Where is the Imperial City ZOS?
    Where is spell crafting?
    Where is small scale PvP?
Why is Toppling Charge still broken?
    Where is the Konk?

In closing, I will just leave this video here so we can all see what could have been if ZOS had spent a shred of effort on PvP instead of just catering to RPers, WOW raid junkies, and of course, the Con$ole Cashout.
