New players not standing a chance on console against transfers!!

How is this any different from someone starting this game a year after everyone else? no matter where you go if your joining an MMO late especially a year late you are always going to have this problem of unbalance until you rank your skills and equipment up. This isn't anything new for an MMO so why act surprised when you join a game over a year late, not like other MMO's that shared both a console and pc didn't have this problem.

Doesn't look like there will be any separation. In PVE it won't be a a big deal.....in PVP...well....the transfers will have a MASSIVE advantage that new players will never be able to catch up to

Well, of course new players can catch up eventually and not all of us who are transferring are bullies looking forward to whacking innocents. It seems to me that the ones just looking forward to ganking newbies would get bored and go home pretty quickly unless they are even more unpleasant than they seem.

The only way new players can catch up to someone who has a bunch of Champion Points is if the transfer players do not play at all for a few months. You would think that people would get tired of wrecking newbies but I have played games way too long to know that won't happen.

Think it will be moot because the players that bought the console version expecting a fresh start is not happening and will leave the game, leaving the transfer players wondering why it so low population DERP.

Except new console players that were stuck waiting for their version to open (by choice or not) aren't starting a game "late".

PC transfers are going to defend this and downplay it obviously. Realistically, very few people with an upper hand actually admit its an upper hand. But like @NukeAllTheThings said, the only way a new player is going to catch the progression of a transfer player is if a transfer does not actively play. It should not be that way at the "start" of a game, which for consoles June 9th is the start.

So I don't expect it to be moot after 2-3 weeks. 2-3 months maybe for the players that "truly" wanted a fair chance to quit. But what's done is done and it can't be changed now unless ZOS has some tricks up their sleeve like no guild traders for a month, no emperors, etc....which really would be just as bad as the current situation.

Well it is a mess StaticWax should just leave this post instead of trying to insight flame keep away kid.

The PC guys should only play on the console 1 month after the console release. Gives console only players a chance to enjoy the game and catch up in progress and have a stable market and community. But if they do not want to wait they can start a fresh until there pc character is unlocked.

But we got *** that just want to watch the world burn and destroy everyone experience.

I was not happy with alot of things ZOS has done so i created The Improving On ESO series instead of just whinning i put forth ideas and concepts for them to consider.
Also im xfering but i have very few champion points and i plan to start from scratch and enjoy the game.

You also forget that unlike other mmos this one requires the right skills to play your build to win. Cps helps but are far from a winning factor everytime.

So stop complaining and enjoy the game or kindly leave.

They should of just allowed a account transfer with no characters only name reservations and free copy of ESO for XB1 and PS4. like some other mmos did.

Talk about ruining a game launch for another platform that been delayed for a year only for them to screw it up just to squeeze extra money.

No difference if someone started playing PC today. They would have nothing and ESO is a PVE game with PVP splashed on. Elder Scrolls is a PVE game series. PVP on console will probably not do well because no addons. PVE wise though console will be superior for immersion and feel more like an ES game. So glad text chat is gone also. Instant party chat for dungeons will be nice.

For someone like you clearly did a lot in your series to try and improve and support ESO. Expected better from you instead your acting like animal getting told something you don't like.

Transfers will indeed be more powerful than new players with no way for new players to catch up.
Even if the Veteran Rank gap is closed after a few weeks, or Veteran Ranks are eventually removed from game, transfers will continue to have more Champion Points.
It is an imbalance that the servers will have to face, and it will impact PvP as well as end-game PvE Trial times meaning transfers will continually dominate all competitive content. Transfers will also dominate the economy.
What portion of the console playerbase this upsets is what remains to be seen.

That said, most console players who were genuinely interested in and following information about this game were provided the opportunity to play on PC and pay extra to maintain their progress -- nothing is particularly unfair about this situation.

Ultimately the people who are being punished are:
- Players who only learned of the Elder Scrolls series recently and did not know about the PC version and transfers when they were announced -- such players would be just as far behind if they decided to start a new game on PC today as well.
- Players who actively decided not to participate in the transfer program and completely abstained from playing on PC -- such players come into this with the awareness that they would not have the progress transfers have
- Players who did not have sufficient computing power for ESO and were stuck waiting for console -- such players are the only group that really trigger my sympathies as they got short-changed due to technological or financial reasons rather than choice or being genuinely new to the series

I think some of the pain could be averted if they opened a non-vet, non champ battleground for the new people to get their feet wet. At the very least a champ point level equal to a new player (can you earn vet points right off as a new player). Pve will be less of an issue but new players getting owned constantly as they try PvP for the first time is not good for the game

Your calculations will have to accommodate for console player rage versus how amusing you find such rage.

Actually, that brings up a question for me:
Does cross-faction chat exist at all in Cyrodiil on consoles?
In PC it is whispers that can be turned off by appearing offline or blocking the person -- in Console PvP would it be people yelling in my ear every time they die or is this feature disabled completely on console?

Uuum exactly but i am glad i know zos won't do a thing about it because i plan to play with my brother who is new to the game.
Plus i have 3 champion points how do i have an advantage over anyone.

Maybe you transfers could be proactive and start linking account names and offer how to catch up asap tips instead? Make some lemonade with these ZOS lemons

Well from what I gathered so far with this thread is..

Yes console players new console players are screwed for months to come best move to another mmorpg on console and just let the transfer characters dominate the server.. screw the market and every other player while a slow death happens with population and little fun is over.
