Back on topic before it's locked, the game isn't a let down, ZOS and their atrocious project management and asinine business decisions are the let downs. The game is fun as hell; ZOS has just consistently been prioritizing the wrong things pretty much since launch. Honestly, I have fun in ESO in SPITE of ZOS, not because of what they're doing for players.

lol that's it try to make fun of someone because you think your smarter than them.

"The grammar aside" so what i could read what he put just fine, does that means your not as smart as you think you are !

LOL I ignore people that put people down for speeling and grammar. You can tell his first language isn't English. I would love to see the people that make fun of him to answer him in his own language. Bet they would make a fool of them self. As far a speeling goes check out my sig.

There is new content on the horizon.
Said content of course was announced 9 months ago back in the 'good old P2P days' , Imperial City was even said to be close to being finished at that time.

Then ZOS held it back so they could charge $$$ for it, meanwhile we who were paying to play were left with nothing new for the best part of a year if we aren't into 1990s gorup-or-die dungeon grinding: PVPers have had nothing either.

I will be very ticked off if they charge for the updates they talked about last year.
anything new from when they went B2P is fine but not before.

I think ZOS is waiting with new content because during "welcome back" weekend it got alot of old-new players. They want to let them catch up on game and then release new content. Because otherwise they might see complains from those players that "they cant access new content because its for high lvls only"

But whatever ZOS will do people will always complain about something they do, or something they didnt do.

What many thought is why ZOS has withheld content releases is because of console launch and the dreaded "Day 1 DLC." It's something that became known from EA, which we can agree has a bad rep with the public.

For those new to the concept of Day 1 DLC, it is where a DLC, priced often at 10$, is available at the same time as the game's official release. You buy a game for 60$ then go home and find out you have to pay another 10$ to get the rest of the game. Granted, some Day 1 DLCs have not been important, such as costumes or extra sidequests. Either way, releasing DLC after 1.6 and before console launch would mean pleasing PC players while screwing all console players.

But, it's just a theory as to why ZOS has withheld new content. A compelling one but, still a theory.

I enjoy the Game as well. I actually like the game despite having a gimped toon. But I have other toons so I work around the issues that will be fixed. I have fun I help people. And If @ZOS does not want to sell their second car to buy us plushies. They can sell of old office furniture, Mice pads, Knick Knacks and Lemonade. It gets hot In Md. / D.C in the summer. All of the players here deserve/desire Guar Plushies, Netch Plushies, and it would be awesome to have a Khajiit Plushie. @ Gina_Bruno Canz wez haz plushiez.

Yep day 1 dlc is very bad and can harm games badly.
But ZOS should of released the content for free to pc players for the loyal support over the past year.
Once console releases thats when they should start charging for dlc instead of letting the pc version fall to bits and go without content for 6-8 months.

    bad move

-Im a console player btw :D only here because of transfer to give eso another chance glad i missed the content drought.

It would be very easy to make the content harder on Consoles and PC. By adding a random key disable to the code. Where at any point in time you lose functionality of a button on your controller, Or you lose the movement/action key to an ability on the keyboard. Now that would be fun !!!!

Console release is priority at the moment. ZoS has only said it a million times in one way or another. Will most likely get a new zone or two by September hopefully or the end of the year. Hyped for PS4.

It sounds like you just want to see new content... to which I think we can all agree.

But suggesting 500+ hours of voiced quests including a epic story-line, fantastic graphics, theft, large scale pvp, massively customizable characters and skill trees, CHAMPION SYSTEM etc etc is a let down makes you a crazy person ;) Edit: Not to mention it's B2P now.

But again, I understand your frustration. Here's too Day 1 DLC!!!!!!

Theyve been prioritizing the wrong things in your opinion.

But theyre still here and theyre now expanding to Console. Theyve even gotten their player count up since launch after a downfall in November/December.

Theyre obviously doing something right. Even if its not at the pace or prioritization that youd like.

One of the worst launches ever not to mention the 1 year console pushback didn't help at all. No small scale pvp is wut will ultimately kill the console tho. No one wants to die then travel 15 mins back to enemy keep. This game would thrive so much with small scale pvp. The campaigns aren't bad but my issue and my buddies as well is the fact that the leaderboards are about having no life and playing all day. Guy in my guild bragging how he is top of ldr boards with no kills. What a joke.

After QuakeCon we were all so hopeful. We had some problems with the game, but ZOS seemed to listen and showed some great work they wanted to do based on our feedback - removing veteran ranks, introducing the champion and a full justice system, the imperial city finally shaping up, new content zones with Wrothgar and Murkmire including tons of new armors and weapons, SPELLCRAFTING, etc. pp. Everything felt like ESO had a bright future ahead, and that we would get everything we hoped for, seeing all the benefits we expected from a subscription based payment model.
Then the updates came more slowly, information was sparse, and they announced B2P.
Everything is in ruins since then.

Feeling like they have to push this game out on console was a mistake, slowed a lot of development for new content

I think what (many) people are upset about is the potential this game has, especially when it falls short in some areas.

There were a lot of requested features that existed at one point, and were removed, as well as problems with bugs/implementation that frustrates the player base.

People tend to take it personally when something they love doesn't meet their expectations.

Yes, they have been a bit lack luster on content but they have got to get it out on console first. You must remember that they're a company and need to make money so they need the full console to go as well as possible. Hopefully after that they will give us updates on where the game is going. And if they don't then God help ESO because it is losing players. I will probably leave if they don't give us information within a few weeks of console release.
I will come back, but perhaps take a couple of months break so it feels more 'fresh' when I return.

After more than a year with essentially no extra desireable content apart from Trials and daily crafting grinding and poorly thought out Craglorn, the game has become stagnant. Well apart from all the nerfing. And yes I do not think adding a Champion system is content.
When this game came out there was high expectations. I happily paid my $15 monthly subscription. If the game came out today, in it's current iteration, I would definitly be very happy not paying a subscription and would be hard pressed to buy the game in the first place.
Why have I changed my stance. This is mainly because Fun Wowsers have taken over at ZoS. If it is fun, nerf it followed by if we cannot solve the problem nerf it. Nerf Nerf go the seals.

Some days I want to PVE, some days I want to PVP and some days I want to just run around in a large group killing groups of monsters and getting experience points and 'junk'. (We are ignoring the days when I have to farm raw materials and craft as that is definitely boring. Although it did not and does not have to be such a chore. Lack of imagination in the game design just makes it so. )

So PVE. On the first go through the fun ended at level 50. Cadwells Silver and Gold was poorly considered. Levelling any other character in PVE is excruciatingly boring.
In PVP it finally ended when camps were removed and a poor Horse riding simulation took over . Ride for 'hour's get killed and then ride for hours. Not even experince points or AP for all that riding...
XP farming became less and less fun until it is now no fun at all.

Definitely a game ripe for console where presumably expectations are very low.
