Paying to level your mounts

Are you kidding me? This is just becoming ridiculous. I spent so much time working on getting motifs and accomplished what I wanted and felt good about it. I then spent months leveling up my mounts. Accomplished that and felt good about it.

Having the motifs, and now the mount leveling, available in the crown store is the biggest joke and at the same time an insult to those who spent their time doing it the normal way.

Why are you pussifying this game so badly, ZOS?

On behalf of the community, I'm sincerely sorry you feel this way.
I wish nothing but joy for everyone.

When the only thing that separates you from another player is an arbitrary time-wall (in the case of mount training), There is no real accomplishment.

I am sorry the motifs has upset you, but you are a over-reacting a little about the mount training being available for all-the-dollars.

As someone who has maxed out mounts on multiple characters I'm very thankful it's not behind just a time wall now. Personally I won't spent the cash on it, but I have nothing against those that will. Other than they have more disposable income than me... so I suppose I do have something against them. Not game related though.

Just wait, they will sell Research Time Reduction Boosters eventually.

Then try telling people they haven't accomplished anything by completing it all the original way. Ohohoho.

It's 1000 crowns for 10 points, 180 points. 18,000 crowns = $180 for a fully leveled mount. If someone wants to *** away that cash rather than wait 180 days to have a max level mount more power to ZoS.

    Edit: Really, "micturating" gets auto-filtered

I did all that stuff, too—but somehow I never felt good about it... more like a nagging sense that there was something else I could/should have done with all that time.

They already do in form of ESO Plus.

    So...

You people act as if they are selling stuff you are not able to get in the game. If people would rather pay for those items instead of working for them in game and learning what it feels like to accomplish something that is there problem.

The real riding lesson is what anonymous people say they'll buy versus what is actually purchased.

And you didn't even have to pay $134 (per character) to do it.

Seriously... riding lessons are one of the least P2W things they can offer. I'm glad to see them in the store if it means more cash flow for ZoS to fuel development of content.

Another way to look at is those that pay real life dollars for mount training will have more in-game gold to buy those nirn research items from you!!!

    ROFLMAO!!!! ;)

If you are that hard-up about 45k gold, you have probably made some bad financial decisions in game...

Are you afraid that someone will get the advantage by being 1/3 of the way towards a top-end piece of BoE loot?

    :rolls eyes:

Who needs a tin-foil hat? They probably are coming... see bolded section in Gina's first post to the Crown Store Wishlist thread.
As part of Update 6, we are introducing the Crown Store: an in-game store where you can purchase customization and convenience items. The store offers consumables you can use to save time on in-game activities (like experience and crafting boosters, for example) along with new customization options including costumes, exotic pets, and mounts. When the Crown Store launches, we’ll have a number of items available immediately, but what about the future?

That they do. So, won't it be interesting when they add those as well?
    So...

You people act as if they are selling stuff you are not able to get in the game. If people would rather pay for those items instead of working for them in game and learning what it feels like to accomplish something that is there problem.

...and only their problem? My recent experiences with the motif-based part of my crafting business drying up begs to differ with this view. Making things you either have to work for, or spend time on, more easily available can have an effect on the community as a whole. As people always remind me, this is an MMO, so things like the crafting and trading economy are dependent on the actions and needs of other players. You know, the ones who may now choose to buy a motif once for real money rather than going to their friendly neighbourhood crafter every week or so for new gear.

I used to get a couple of orders a week for rare-motif gear. I could even replace clients who had hit the cap and weren't leveling more alts with new ones fairly easily. Since the motifs hit the crown store? One. A single order. So tell me again about how this is "there(sic) problem".
