ESO is waaaaaaaaaaay better than Destiny & Neverwinter. Dragon age is good, but I played through it in a couple of weeks. The witcher was bundled with an overdose of sleeping pills. (It works so much better than ambien)
After it is a massive hit on console, I predict a big bump in pc pop as well. (like skyrim)
IMHO ESO is here to stay

that said I hope it wont affect the game population negatively
is a option I am missing. going with it anyway

easily the most moronic choice in this gaming era i have seen.

Keep in mind this is an MMO and regardless what franchise it is, or how successful all of the other coop console games are w/o text chat, there are going to be alot of people expecting to play ESO as an MMO. And an MMO w/o any standard form of text chat will turn a lot of people away.
I think that is the main reason the servers are separate.
I think a large % of PC players that switch to console will return to PC because of this.
I think a large % of console players will like the game but will switch to PC because of this. (If they have a PC)
In comparison, I think a small % of both platforms will stick with console because of this.
So in summery, I think the lack of text chat on console will actually boost the population of PC in the long run, while console population will steadily and dramatically decline after it's initial launch spike.
Well This month and a few after will be rly hard for Teso on PC
- Witcher 3 came out
- GTA5 came out mounth bevor
- Steam Sale will start soon (prise our Lord Gabe)
- Consol Releas
So there will prob - 30-40% (imho) active Players on pc a few months.
but right after Imp is releasd (i guess/hope) in early settembre, they will return

Plus:
FFXIV Heavensword expansion in 2 weeks, WildStar moving F2P in autumn and GW2 HoT expansion in a few months will make ESO's life even more difficult.
Yes and I do not care.I hope ESO is very successful in Xbox One. I stopped playing the PC version since the account copy and will probably never play in the PC again. Sorry for the PC crowd but you have lots of good MMOs to chose from. Xbox One only have Neverwinter and now ESO.

Yeah, many options for couch. Especially when nVidia Android TV comes out along with ESO controller support. Mostly so my wife can play Stick of Truth in the living room.Seth_Black wrote: »kenpachi480 wrote: »pc play forces you behind a desk,. console play allows for relax/chill position on the couch
google: 'wireless keyboard & mouse'
I'm enjoying ESO on PC, looking at it on 42" HD TV, sitting VERY comfortable on my couch with keyboard & mouse
I don't feel 'forced'to play anywhere else
It already has......
Focus all resources on console launch + no new content for 6 months = population loss
The damage is already done. Can just hope they don't drag their feet on a press release with new content to get people interested again.
