Pass on a quest reward? I'd like to, now and then.

I'm sure it's happened to you, too: You finish a quest line, and are about to be rewarded with an item by the grateful beneficiary of your efforts, only to find that your inventory is full. Sure, most of the time you dig around and locate some not so precious thingamajig you can afford to throw out, thus solving the problem. But occasionally, I find that I can only complete the quest reward by destroying something I'd rather have kept—more often than not to make room for a reward I need/want less than what I just chucked. Maybe I should go to town more often to sell/deconstruct/bank things, but still, it'd be nice to be able (in accordance with my magnanimous and unselfish idiom) to say, "Oh, that's alright, you need it more than I do, the XP is all the reward I need."

What do you think?

I often thought this too, that I'd rather let them keep the reward, for two reasons: first would be the full inventory, second would be that I feel bad to be rewarded with let's say a family heirloom which I only can sell or break down at a crafting station. This makes me feel like an a**, and I could also do without this item. As a crafter, I don't need ANY of armor or weapon rewards (PvE quests).

I love this idea. For all of the people who are clamoring to let us play the Bad Guys, why not allow us to play the generous ones too?

I was re-playing KOTOR last night and there are some lovely occasions where a character offers your a few credits scraped together and, even though my characters usually need them, it does actually add something to the experience for my character to be able to turn them down, graciously, and tell them to use it to look after themselves instead.

Deconstructing family heirlooms also rubs me up the wrong way. There are items that I have kept that my character should, almost certainly, have deconstructed by now. I just can't actually bring myself to do it. A triumph for the ZOS storytellers, I suppose, in that he still has items like Bala's Engagement Chain (that he picked up at about level 7) while at VR13 in Reaper's March.

My name is Daenerys and I'm a hoarder. I hoard loot, mats, Unsullied, you name it! And I would really appreciate if they could let us have a loot queue (like other MMOs have done) for the times when you are out in BFE and can't be bothered to run to the bank to unload before accepting a reward. No matter how useless it may be, I want it!

Seriously! I actually feel kind of bad and wish I could just tell them... you know, I'm just going to deconstruct this or vendor it.

At least then the NPC would know. >_<

Over-encumbrance would fix the problem of having to exit the quest, drop something, then talk to the NPC again.

But shameless self-promotion aside, the option to say "no thank you" and then maybe you get a few extra hundred gold would be nice.

    Just add an option

"Decline reward" and then have a pop up that said "You were rewarded an additional 200 gold for your respect and generosity".

    +1 from me!

As an opposite side of the coin... I suggested a while back we be allowed to desert a quest and steal the quest item. Sometimes there's some pretty great stuff in quests, and I wanna keep 'em. :naughty:

What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.

Unsullied... I'd hoard them, too. Also chicks like Missandei.

Yeah. A convert this crappy quest reward to 50 extra gold option was something I wished for a long time.
