Character Transfers and ZOS's terms which they seem like they are breaking

Can you imagine the first time a level 10 console player comes to cyrodiil and meets a player that has had over 12mths experience behind them, dropped and crafted gear plus 100+ CP?

    The QQíng will be real.

    P.S. Can I just say, I'm married, with kids, a full time job, and many, many other interests outside ESO and yet I still managed to set aside some time to make sure I didn't miss out on the transfer. Life being busy isn't an excuse I can use with my boss, my wife or anyone really.

    The me generation needs to look at themselves.

    It won't be much QQing those of us who did take advantage of the offer won't get codes until sometime on June 8th which means for many, they won't be playing until later. 60+ gigs takes some ppl a long time and others are metered so no idea why ZOS is stating console limitations now as this offer is over 12 months old.


    Just like the limitation on the console transfer period when we were told the transfer will be available when the game releases. I wonder if those who made the decisions regarding all of the console transfer project are being pulled into a side room to have a chat. If FFXIV could doe it flawlessly, why can't ZeniMax...heck FFXIV is even x-platform.

    - The 8th of June will come and go
    - The 60Gb will be long (I'll be sleeping as a watched router never boils or words to that effect)
    - PvP will be much fun on console for transferred players
    Been here since Feb 2014 - You'd think I'd be half reasonable at this game by now...

    At least there, everyone got the info that it was an offer and there were details left out but to come later. That we knew long in advance, but we're missing an exact date. The argument about ZOS should've stated a date makes sense but this situation in the thread differs as the offer was available to all and the terms of when was sent to all with a start and end date. Seemingly with the info I'm upset about now.

    Guess it wasn't confirmed with Xbox and Sony yet.

    But For those who actually didn't get the email who settings and info are correct have valid arguments but everyone else just missed the offer.

    I feel the transfer details wasn't made as widespread as it should have

    Zos messed up and not everyone who should have, got an email.

    It's bs that zenimax won't transfer characters now even if it's there fault we missed the deadline. For example I never received the transfer email with instructions. They acknowledge that not receiving the email was an error on their part but told me it's literally impossible to transfer my character now. Don't lie to your players I know it's not impossible, you just don't want to take the time and effort to correct your mistakes. Thanks for nothing

    Can you please provide link to where they said it was their fault on emails. First I heard that and I been here from start!

    How come I think I will never hear from this guy and get a link to what he just said. He created a rumor that isn't true yet people will believe it. Also can't see any one working for ZoS say it was their fault for the person not getting the email. You guys either checked the box for updates or you didn't.

    Plain and simply there are many things wrong with email notifications after indicating you'd get access to the feature once the game was released. Like myself I don't have a single email, and periodically I change my email as new email services become available. But I do have an account with ESO which contains all of my promotions...

    For those of us who read the notification that we'd be able to select to do so once the game was released, why would I scan through old emails or email accounts for this? Then to respond with "we can't do it" as the only explanation for why they can't, when its already been done is just poor.

    Call it sad, sorry or i missed the boat - sure blame us the customers. There are plenty of good reasons folks missed or didn't get this email, regardless of how little even other customers seem to care. The one take away from this is the level of customer support or caring, "there is now a Level 0". Companies get away with acting this way entirely because folks continue to do business with them after acting this way.

    Upon release of console versions, you can transfer. YOU can transfer. You can start playing on the console because your characters are there.

    That does not mean that you can ask them to have your characters transferred on that day. All characters are transferred all at once.

    Dave I think Caspur is referring to the notification from last year indicating they would make available the transfers when the game was released. Only if you got the email and responded to it are your characters "transferred".

    The account information says characters are not shared: "To play The Elder Scrolls® Online: Tamriel Unlimited™ on your PlayStation®4 or Xbox One, you need to link your Sony Entertainment Network or Xbox Live account. You can link both a Sony Entertainment Network and Xbox Live account, but no information (characters, progress, etc.) will be shared between them--the accounts are entirely separate. You can unlink your console accounts at any time and re-link them later if you choose."

    I don't have a link unless you want me to screenshot my personal, private email. My situation was an abnormality where there was a glitch in their mailing system and I never got the transfer email. I'm not starting a rumor, this situation was specific to me and probably isn't the case for everyone.

    I'm simply saying they should have some sort of fail safe available for when it actually was their fault and it's not just another whining customer. That being said I still agree with everyone who missed the deadline, there never should have been a deadline in the first place. It should just be able to happen indefinately.

    I didn't miss it, I wasn't even gonna go to Console (PS4) but I decided that $20 was not too much money and I decided to do it just in case I wanted play on Console with My Console friends and I was aware of the Cutoff date, I made sure I knew of it, and I have been with the game since early access day one.. I made sure I got mine transferred, as in, I took responsibility to make sure It happened...

    BUT you did not...

    My advise to you is if it was Sooo important to you then you should have made Sure you knew When it was gonna happen and Where you had to go to pay and What the cutoff date was for the "PC to Console Transfer", then you would have made sure you paid the money and got it done.

    It is now time to grow a little and act like an adult and take responsibility for your actions or Lack thereof instead of crying about it, you did not follow through and so now you do not get the Transfer or the Loyalty items that go with it.

    Next time you will be more aware and you will get it done if something is so important to you now, wont you...
    And I am sorry if this offends some people, but I am sick and tired of people crying and whining when it was their responsibility to take advantage of the offer ZOS was giving them. You want something...be responsible and do it..

    Let me give you a really good example, I only did the PC Console transfer to the PS4, I did not do it for the Xbox one, now if one of my friends was like "I'm going to the Xbone, you coming.."

    I would be like, nope because I didn't purchase it when I had the chance, I did not take the responsibility to get my characters and loyalty rewards and such to be transfered to that console. I would be disappointed and sad but I know that the responsibility laid on my shoulders to do it, not someone else's or ZOS's fault and so that is the choices we make in life.

    Do I feel entitled that I earned it, not on the Xbox One.

    Like I said before, Take Responsibility for your actions and stop laying blame, because the blame is all on you.

    My hat off you sir, very very well written post and told it like it is. Now this should be a sticky in here along with a FAQ and maybe we could get this GD back to some reasonable discussions.

    Of course am sure there will be others that either ignore it or not understand it by thinking they may be more entitled than the rest. Just hope am wrong.
