"Jabsmania" Stamina Templar DD Build PvE-Endgame

Champion System

194 CP atm. There might be better options but that is the setup I run at the moment.

Race
Redguardis the far best if you have the choice, Adrenaline Rush is way too good to pass on.
Adrenaline Rush passive: lets say every 3 seconds 700 Stam. So a Fight with a duration of 99 seconds it will tick 33 times, means you have around 23k free stamina from that passive. So I hope all get the importance of that passive.
Non-Redguards might want to invest into some more Stamina Recovery instead of raw weap dmg.
Imperial would be 2nd choice.
Woodelfs also offer some good stamina bonuses

Mundus Stone
The Warrior is the way to go, I did testing with Shadow or Thief, but you gain more from that Weapondmg bonus from Warrior.

Stats and Set combo
These stats are with no pvp buffs. (pact ftw >.>)
I used Silverside perch pudding Foodbuff for Health+Stamina. +(3,8k health+3,5k stam)
Also, I am a WW for the 15% extra stamina.
Ravager: It procs of biting jabs and caltrops, that means it is up around 90% during a fight
1x Sword Precise + 1x Mace Sharpened (Gave me the best Results in case of overall DPS)
(on tamrielfoundry you can find more setcombos if you do not have access to such sets)

Skills
2 Setups: Dualwield/ Bow — 2Hander/ Dualwield (2nd setup on Tamrielfoundry)
( For some Bosses like Manti/Serpent/Stage 10 VDSA I use slightly different setups, I usually use there Rending Slashes and POTL)

Dualwield/ Bow setup: (weapon damage buff from Potions)

Bar 1
Quick Cloak – Reduces enemy AOE dmg by 20% and you get 40% speedbuff for 4 seconds.
Steel Tornado – One of the best AoE skill atm because of its 11m range. Crits for 12k on low health mobs.
Biting Jabs – This is your main damage skill both used for AoE (8m range) and for single target. 1 cast gives you 4 hits and this skill also procs Valkyn Skoria set.
Blazing Shield - Great ability to protect yourself.
Evil Hunter – Crits for up to 12k on mobs if it procs, has to be up versus Undead all 24/7 and on other fights I activate it at the start./ Repentance – Slotted for the 10% stam recovery bonus if you have stamina sustain issus.
Ulti: Flawless Dawnbreaker – Increases your Weapon damage, if you cant get your Shooting star ready in time, you can also use this ulti it does good damage.

Bar 2

Poison Injection – Start using this skill at 50% of Bosses HP and only use it when you switch to 2nd bar for Caltrops or Ulti.
Anti Cavalry Caltrops – Has to be up 100% of the time, deals very good DoT damage.
Scortched Earth – In AoE situations 100% uptime.
Blazing Spear – I only use that skill if i can throw it before mobs spawn or when Tank needs spears
Evil Hunter – Crits for up to 12k on mobs if it procs, has to be up versus Undead all 24/7 and on other fights I activate it at the start.
Ulti: Shooting Star – Make sure the boss stands still when you use it, best damage Ulti atm.

Stamina sustain and Stamina Recovery
Stamina Recovery – Templar has the advantage of the 10% stamina rec buff from repentance or radiant aura. Currently I am using Radiant aura because healers use repentance.
I am also using 2x Bloodspawn because it gives 117 Stamina Recovery bonus and nice protection. With Bloodspawn set and Potion buff or Radiant aura buff(both give Major Endurance buff) I am currently at 1,2k Stamina Recover with dualwield compared to 1k with 2hander. I really feel the difference of the 200 more Stamina recover it is pretty nice.
Stamina sustain – You and most of your teammates rely heavely on the healer due to Spears AND the most important skill repentance. If you have stamina builds in your group and your healer doesnt use those skills slap him in the face and tell him to use it on dead mobs!

FTC DPS Meter
Those numbers are without pvp buffs.
Usually i get around 14k+ on Mantikora and 15k+ on Serpent. If I had pvp buffs would be 2-4k higher.

Yes, If you want max dps only use Dualwield/Bow. I only have 2H+DW in here because many people like to play with a 2Hander

You will see on my videos I mostly use Dualwield/Bow setup.

I am using the setup on the left side:
Dualwield is outperforming EVERYTHING in any encounter. In short fights Executioner might give you like 1k more dps, but its really not a lot. In trials DW has higher base dmg therefore does more dmg and kinda cancels out Executioner for 2H. Also AOE is 120389039039x better than 2h AoE

Your warrior I'm not really sure what you're doing? Are you vampire and trying to compensate for fire venerability? I would recommend picking up werewolf, get the 15% stam regen in human form and then use a warrior tree build more like this:

Because it provides the most benefits in the most situations. It can be further optimized from what I've posted but with diminishing returns on the champion system you gain a lot more benefit with this distribution defensively speaking. Additionally you will gain all three 10 point passives as well which provides even more additional benefits. Field physician is probably the most notable of those because it increases you ability to combat rez should the worst happen.

In the mage, I use a Mace+sharpened and Sword+precise, do you think its better to go 5 Blade expert and 5 Heavy weapon expert? Or how does it work with dualwield?
I do not use bow attacks at all so puttung points into bow expert would be waste of points.
This build is pure PvE so putting points into reistant is useless because mobs dont crit.

I updated my CPs, got a lot more imo.

I am still experimenting a bit atm, but sometimes it looks like Camo hunter stays on for much longer than evil hunter, not sure yet if its a visual bug or not. And evil hunter should give me like 800stamina back/hit from undead/daedra, but i do feel like I get 0 back from it.

Look at the damage of camohunter on this boss in AA its insane, so you have to make sure it is up all the time

Same dmg would prolly come from Evil hunter

evil hunter is buggy I agree.

For instance, the 14 second timer it has will expire on your health bar but the ability will actually continue if you have managed to kill an undead / daedra within that time limit. Its extremely buggy, but I have noticed that it will continue without having to use it again if you kill an undead or daedra.

Also during weapon swapping the visual effect doesnt transfer over to your other weapon. I hope these bugs are brought to the devs attention.

@alcast I think I am confused now, so to clarify, basically you don't weave ranged normal attacks with your bow and just use it for the skills?

reference the dual wield what is the purpose in using a mace and a sword as opposed to two maces or two swords?

To be honest I am not sure how that interaction works if you get the full +3% from blades and +3% from swords then its a tad bit more than if you went with both the same weapon. Someone would need to test to see how it stacks like that.

For instance if it only counts the one in you main hand and you split it 5/5 blade and heavy then you only get 3% damage increase. However, if you put all 10 into one then you could get 5% damage increase...but if it counted both weapons then you would get 3.080% + 3.080% or 6.16%, quite the improvement from 5%. Hopefully someone who has tested this can chime in with a decisive answer here? If not then 6k gold and two respecs can answer that question...Or if someone has open character slots they could roll two new characters make them identical race/class and make them nude with identical dual wield mace/sword and do one with 5/5 skill points and the other with 10 on main hand weapon and then let us know.

Havent really felt any difference at all, but then again its small changes and as we do not have target dummies its sometimes almost impossible to tell

The only time I use Bow is when i swap to 2nd bar when i reapply caltrops or Ulti and before i swap back i use poison injection to get the extra weapon dmg from Masters bow on my 1st bar.

Mace sharpened+ Sword Precise gave me the best Damage on jabs.

The answer to that test could change how you would want to do the whole Mage.

I'm not sure if you figured it out but the reason for:

Mighty: 14
Piercing: 14
Precise Strikes: 10

is because Mighty and Piercing increase damage on all your attacks so even if they get slightly lower returns per point it is beneficial because it impacts all attacks

Precise Strikes on the other hand only provides a benefit when you critically hit.

The take home is that the lower your critical rating the fewer points that you will want in precise strikes.

Consider I do 100 damage per attack my critical chance is 50% and a critical does 1.5x damage

Then out of every 2 hits I would do 250 damage (1 critical and 1 non critical) with enough points to give %10 bonus to critical damage then my critical hit would actually do 165 and thus I have gained

15 bonus damage

now consider I do it for mighty or piercing which impact all attacks.

I do 2 hits (100 + 150 = 250 damage, my critical rate is still 50% only the damage modifier has changed) in this scenario suppose I instead put enough points into mighty to increase all my physical damage by 10% (same number of champion points as before). In this scenario I will get

10 bonus damage on the first hit and 15 bonus damage on the second hit, ---25 total bonus damage

that's a bit better than the 15 bonus damage from the first scenario. In reality it takes 27 points in Mighty to increase damage by 10% piercing works the same way but in the opposite direction by allowing more damage to pass the armor because of this is it approximately (but not exactly) equal to mighty (but we will assume it is for ease of calculations). By splitting the points evenly between these two (13 and 14) we get 12.333% damage bonus (a small improvement on 10 points).

The really tricky part is to determine how much of the points should be placed in precise strikes in relation to your mighty/piercing.

An easy rule of thumb would be to take your critical chance divide by 6 and then use that percentage of your ritual constellation points in precise strikes. But this all makes assumptions that you critical damage output is fixed at 1.5x (which by simply putting points into precise strikes will change this, also gear can modify this and your active buffs can modify this when in a group).

Going back to the bow/dual wield thing I went 5/5 over there on those two skills because i thought you would attack with off set equal to main weapon set so it was not best to invest to heavily there but if you only use the dual for normal attacks then it might make more sense to go something like this:

However if it only takes the main hand weapon then something like:

Anyways I'm out for the evening gonna go play, I will look at this a bit more at work tomorrow in my spare time if I can come up with a good way to account for all the variables I might just create a calculator to determine the optimal split on precise strikes for people based on simple inputs.

The only mobs that have huge armor resistance are Trialbosses. Most of other bosses/arena have not a lot so if you dont take that into account most calculations go to crap anyway.

Piercing might be nice if you go for Trialbosses. But arena and other stuff its not as usefull as Mighty.

You also have to know that a Mace+sharpened gives you already huge armor penetration(probably more than it should at the moment lol)

the same % yes, BUT camohunter does more damage(you can see that in your tooltip) Also, camohunter sometimes stay on for 2h+ for no apparent reason >:>
