This issue needs a solution, please ZOS have a look here.

It isn't spam, it is game activity chat. If you want, just toggle it off. Many more options should be available as toggles in the UI, relating to combat information, social features, and guild tools, but this already is in there. It doesn't matter if they put in a special "looking for group" channel, as people will just use zone anyways as it is the default. Players in good guilds don't usually ask for people from zone at all, so the ones who are currently doing it won't suddenly decide their chances of getting a group together are better by restricting the number of people they're broadcasting to for a PUG. If they wanted that, they'd already have contacts and/or a guild.

Exploits suck. Don't blame just the game, blame the players abusing them!

Actually, players will use the LFG channel if it is GLOBAL (or alliance wide, for now)

This is because you can go farm or manage your inventory, or quest or whatever while you are looking for a group. You won't need to sit at the Undaunted enclave with your thumb up your ass while you wait.

And you are mistaken about one thing: players in good guilds ask in zone chat all the time. People play all hours of the day, and sometimes there is just no one online who wants to run the pledge right then. I've pugged with the best of the best and the bottom of the barrel, pretty much all from zone chat.

Wasn't there something on another thread about the next hotfix/update will remove the restrictions on "be within X level to get loot" for the grouping for vet levels only?

Yep! You can find that post in full detail here. Basically, all Veteran players who are grouped for a dungeon will receive loot after we make this change (which we're still aiming to get in for our next incremental patch).
Thanks for the link @ZOS_GinaBruno I've been trying to find that!

As I understand, everyone will have loot of instance level, so if dungeon, for example, scaled to VR6, then everybody will have VR6, and this is still not much interested for VR12+, since they visit dungeons to farm items and monster sets items particularly.

Therefore, this decision will solve problem partly, VR12+ will still spam zonechat that way.
Well if a VR12+ wants to get VR12+ loot then he should just be the party leader so that the instance is scaled to VR12+. If there are lower level VR players in the group they probably won't mind (as long as that scaling doesn't make it too hard to complete the dungeon), because most loot is vendor trash anyway, and if they happen to get a monster set item or something odds are they will prefer to have a higher level one that they can't use right away, but that will be useful for them once they hit max level.

People will still sit in the areas with the most population, it doesn't matter if an LFG channel that will be turned off by most people exists or not at that point. In a good guild you'll clear the pledges in the time it would take to even find PUGs to fill generally ;) in my experience. Often enough people just decide to go with 3 if a 4th can't be found immediately in the guild chats :p. At worst you log in later on in the day and grab people then... people don't PUG because they want to, normally... they PUG because they have to. Not to sound "elitist" or anything of course, but spending 20-30 minutes for a pledge run + 5-10 recruiting in zone chat isn't worth the time compared to just doing whatever else you feel like, and then spending 15 total including grabbing people from guild chats and porting in, later on in the day. PUG'ing is basically reserved for having missed the day's pledge to get yesterday's done :p.

Are you still going to have diminished XP for VR characters if they go above a certain level of the zones?

Hmm, just a thought, but would it be possible to create an add-on that filtered out zone chats that contained designated keywords? Like LFG, WTS, ***, ***, and ***? I don't really have any experience with this.

I see you are still actively avoiding any kind of comments on how to improve looking for groups.

Nice move about removing the VR restrictions. Any info about when its coming? Are you going to give incentives to ppl to start using LFG?
Btw are we going to have a LFG tool where we can queue for more than one activity at the same time? Where we can create or join other ppl premade groups for any kind of content?
    Thank you
