    Fixed it for you.

Also, cool yo jets. Given enough time, they will release it for purchase on the Crown Store. Free cash right there.

Thank you for the civil response. I just get frustrated with people's narrow-minded responses. And that is what I am hoping for now. If i missed a free transfer... it sucks but so be it. But not to be available at all is ridiculous.

Sorry if I'm one of those you identify as narrow minded by your point of view.

I'm sorry, they can make an exception in cases like this.

No. Whining and tantrums should not be rewarded.

I want to congratulate Zenimax for holding fast to these principles.

Thank you NPK Daniel. But seriously... I'm not just voicing my outrage strictly on my own behalf. Anyone that purchased and signed up before June 30th, 2014 should be allowed to transfer their account as they originally announced. It's not fair to the gamers that have no idea about this matter. When they sign on June 9th and they get screwed because they can't get their money back because they digitally downloaded it or get half the value back from gamestop, ZoS will basically say who cares... they got their sales revenue

    As for Rook_Master...

I'm not whining or throwing a tantrum... That's how an immature and cocky person would perceive these posts. I am not supporting the game unless there is verification or an announcement that reverses this. These posts are in hopes that others in my situation will think twice about supporting ZoS. But i am glad to see you are such an advocate for ZoS.

You're throwing a tantrum when you say you're not supporting the game unless you get your way, regardless of circumstance that is taken as as such. Maybe tantrum is the wrong term but there is no reason other than you missing the opportunity that your account will not be copied over.

We are almost all guilty of being upset with ZOS on one thing or another but as mature adults we take time to calm down, realize that either we are wrong or that these actions don't help us get what we want and move on to play or to do something else.

Not sure if it's allowed but maybe you ask someone if they'd allow you to buy and use their account copy as maybe they decided they didn't want to due to some lack or change on console that they discovered after console BETA is even the upcoming Twith Live in the days just before release.

My point is...we get why you're upset and it's ok to be upset. It's ok to want concessions to a missed opportunity but in the end all you can do is ask the company via a support ticket. If they say no...then that's it

I don't understand why they're restricting it so much. What's the benefit for ZOS and/or players from doing that? Why not just offer the copy to console service to everyone who had an account for the PC version before the console release date was announced?

Disclaimer: This doesn't affect me personally, just in case anyone thinks that's why I'm saying it. I don't want to play on console and had no intention of getting that version. I just think you need a good reason to inconvenience your customers (or potential customers) like this, to balance out the inevitable disappointment from those who unexpectedly find they're not eligible.

Condolences are extended for your family. Alas, I'm afraid that missed dates share no relevance to reason.

Personal issues are indeed why one would miss a deadline. Things happen that are beyond our control. Nonetheless, they are still deadlines and are implemented for reasons that may not be known or understood.

On a side note... Bethesda doesn't have much, if anything, to do with these cases, as they are the publishers while ZOS is the developer.

Although it sucks in your particular situation.... I agree 100% with this.

However I should note that neither myself nor the OP stated that Zenimax was a bad company.
I missed the deadline because I got really drunk with my mates at the pub. Challenged a few of them to a race back to my flat where the afterparty was supposed to be held. However, the fastest way back was though the alley, over two fences and in though the car park. They didn't know that but I did. My grand plan was to make it back way before them and sit on my couch passed out pretending I was there the whole time. Sounded like a hilarious and awesome plan to myself at the time so I started off at a breakneck pace in the opposite direction that they were going.

I scaled the first fence with no problem, it was just a plain wooden fence and there was a half height concrete wall/planter thing to the right side of it. Second fence was a bit of an issue, it was metal with those pointy spikey things on top. This took the longest but there was a section by the automatic gate that had less spikey things, and there were cross beams. I had scaled this sober before so I managed it without impaling myself.

I was on the home stretch now, only one unmanned car park entrance with one of those striped white and red guard rails like they have on train tracks. It was then that I heard the heavy footfalls behind me. One of my friends, Jason, had apparently followed me instead of the rest of the crowd. Clever girl. I break into a full on sprint trying to maintain my lead but Jason closes on me easily, zips past me, and starts to work his way around the guard rail. The only wait to beat him was to pretend that guard rail was the finish line. It looked like it was made out of pressboard and tape. Flimsy enough. I ran at it head on and YOLO into it. It wasn't pressboard. The darned thing was encased in fiberglass! It flexed at first then snapped in half with the part that was still attached to the articulating arm jabbing its way into my side between my lower two ribs. I scream like a little girl and roll away from it and stumble back to my place leaving a trail of blood and a piece of fiberglass stuck in my ribs.

Spent the rest of the night in the emergency room with a great story to tell but I completely forgot to buy a console port for my ESO character the next day and it was removed from the online store by the time I got back from the hospital.

I would also like an extension ZOS. Love you guys!

P.S. If you could also remove the cooldown on toppling charge I'd be double stoked.

Like I say unlike yourself my reason for missing the deadline was not one of stupidity. Lol...good story though. Mine was not made up and the inference I am making up something as horrible as the experience me and my family went through makes me think I have made a mistake everposting in the first place. I was merely pointing out a principle. I do not expect anything for free or try to Cheat, lie to get my way . Even writing about my mum was a very difficult thing for me to do. I have already got my full price copy for xbox one.

A deadline is a deadline, no matter what. Sorry for your troubles, but it doesn't matter. For once, ZOS made the right call here.

If I ended up in a car accident and went into coma for 10 months, I couldn't go to the store afterwards and demand the same price of a product that was on sale 3 months ago.

My sympathies for your family. It is unfortunate that Zenimax has chosen to act this way in light of your circumstances.

    Why?

At the same time my step dad had cancer, MacMillan were giving out incorrect info and i was looking up things for them, my life was jumbled and I STILL managed to read an email, load up and do the transfer in 30 days.

Condolences but sorry such things aren't any longer reasons that can cover missing a 1 month long window for sparing 10 mins

I am sorry for your loss. I cannot begin to understand you circumstances and would not think to judge a person's ability to deal with this. I nursed mum at home for a year.....I lost weight and by the end was not even able to go to work. Sorry for being cynical but I have a hard time believing any company would accept that a customer could come many weeks after a discount drive has ended and asking to buy the product/service for the lower price - and get it.

Would guess the real issue here is greed and bitterness over a missed opportunity.

Words fail me. You do not know me and how in all good conscience could you write such a thing ? I only hope you never have to go through what I have gone through...then have someone say you are using it as a device for a motivation as baseless as greed. At least I can sleep tonight knowing my motivation was pure and I have not lied about anything. Or made a pointless and crass assumption about someone based on nothing more than my own cynical values.

I was not asking for the discount in this post. I stated that it was explained I had missed the chance. As the title states...I was just making it known how I felt a bit disappointed in that response from a customer relations point of view. I have made myself vulnerable by writing about my experience with mums illness and death but could see no point in posting at all without explaining why, despite how painful it still is. I can clearly see now it was a mistake and would ask the moderators to close this thread please.

I would like to thank those who replied...even those who have not agreed with my point of view. It is a forum for precisely that reason. But I draw the line at having my motivations assumed as those of greed when I have shared such a painful experience.

Here's a possible consideration, in some console communities, I've seen a number of console players who were quite upset when they learned that some existing PC players with well established characters would be "ruining their pristine game launch". Some potential ESO console players of the game questioned whether they should buy this game at all since they were worried about being pwn'd by high level characters. Part of the appeal of a game launch to many gamers is that everyone begins at a level playing field.

Perhaps ZOS needed to restrict who can transfer in fairness to new console players. If it was just a small number of people making the transition from PC to console, it's probably easier to assure new players that they won't get demolished right away ( or at least not be wiped by zillions of OP veteran characters on Day 1 ).

I'd like to see this offer or another offer that allows people to migrate from PC to console made available at a later time after console players have had a chance to level up their characters and earn some champion points.

@Raash - a lot of the bitterness is from players who have been here since closed Beta may have taken a break from the game for a couple months and never heard a damn think about the console port dates. Despite them regularly sending me emails asking me to come back, they couldn't send one to give us a heads up that the port was Here.

You can tell how poorly they advertised it by how many people had no clue it was happening.

While I had no interest in moving to console, all the info I knew about transfers was based on people talking here. This information should have been more prominent in their website. There is no reason why people should have to ask about such a significant milestone in a forum.

ZOS should allow character moving in the future, where characters are deleted from one server and created on another. In fact, it should always be moving, not copying. I suspect a lot of people borrowed valuable items or tons of gold from friends in preparation for this initial transfer. That is pretty lame. Or, they should allow character transfer without inventory items.

    Here: http://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-us/news/post/2014/05/08/eso-on-consoles--update

We know from the frequent questions we get that many of you are excited about playing ESO on the PS4 and Xbox One, and today we’d like to share an official update on the status of these releases. Read on for the latest information:

We've been grateful to our fans for the wonderful response to our recent launch of The Elder Scrolls Online for PC/Mac, but we know many of you are eagerly waiting to play the game on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

We continue to work on the console versions of ESO, and game development has been progressing steadily, but we are still working to solve a series of unique problems specific to those platforms. Integrating our systems with each console manufacturer’s networks—which are both different from the PC/Mac system as well as different from each other—has been a challenging process. It has become clear that our planned June release of the console versions isn’t going to be possible. Though we have made great progress, we have concluded that we’ll need about six months to ensure we deliver the experience our fans expect and deserve.

We know that the news of an ESO console delay is as disappointing to many of you as it is to us. We want to do what we can to make it up to our fans who want to start playing now, so we have worked out the following arrangement with Sony and Microsoft:

Via a special offer, anyone who purchases and activates the PC/Mac version of The Elder Scrolls Online by 6/30/14 (11:59pm UTC) will have the opportunity to transfer their character(s) to either console version when they are released. The offer will allow you to begin playing immediately on the PC/Mac, and then add the PS4 or Xbox One version and transfer the character(s) you have created and developed. And, you don’t have to pay full price for the game twice. For $20, eligible PC and Mac players will have the option to add a full, digital version of ESO on either the PS4 or the Xbox One with your character transfer(s), and another 30 days of included game time.

Whether you decide to take advantage of this offer or not, we promise to do everything we can to get the game released on both consoles as quickly as we can. We will keep everyone updated with additional details regarding character transfers, specific offer dates, when you can expect console beta to start, and of course, when ESO on consoles will launch.

Thank you for your patience and loyal support.

Then the email I got posted in the previous comment came to me on April 9, 2015 at 10am EST
