More money for ZoS = good for all platforms.

Just like all those unspecified Ice Bucket donations to the ALS Association were so good that nobody ever talks about amyotrophic lateral sclerosis anymore. It's cured, right? We beat ALS, right?
...right?
Throwing money at something is never an effective solution to any problem. Until ZeniMax comes out and says they need a net budget of $X dollars to make Y product happen, I can never be certain where my money is going. For all I know, somebody at ZeniMax may have spent the $40 in crowns I bought to buy dinner for an elitist guild leader. It may have gone to buying soap and toilet paper for the ESO office. It may have gone into developing a new dog audio mix.
I'll never know, so the quantity of money isn't nearly as important as having refined and reasonable plans and goals. That's why crowdsourcing became so popular. Not because it's the best way to raise money, but because you know how much money a project needs and what results the creators want from it.
We don't know what more money for ZoS equals yet, except more money for ZoS. And I don't think ZoS would have legally limited their options on the $20 digital copy and transfer if they saw it as a revenue-enhancing project. More likely it was a loss leader.
Someone who is not spending any money on the game now decides to buy the game all over again on a new platform and he only does so becuse he knows he can tranfer his progress for a small fee. Thats 80 dollars of new revenue plus any future potential revenue that said player may spend due to his renewed interest in the game.
Same player thinks...man i would love to play this on PS4 but i don't feel like releveling my toons...nah ill pass, or wait til they offer me a transfer.
See what i mean?

ZOS should do free transfers for everyone who own both games. Only now, people have to pay full price for the game. I don't think they should get it at the 20.00 cost. That deadline is gone but the transfers should never be gone.
A free transfer is a VERY unreasonable request...
Transfers are crap. PC transfers are death squads at vamp and WW spawns.
Starting a "new game" on console with people already at VR14 when it has a champion system that rewards players for spending 100's of hours on this game by making them more powerful(I think that's fine), is complete and utter crap for the brand new players who have high aspirations for PvP or becoming emperor or trying to be "the first" to achieve success in numerous places on console, it kills it. I know alot of console players that are bummed out ( the game released a year ago for you, skipped us, no matter what state it was in any transfers have a tremendous leg up on the competition for people who actually want to be competitive) and just generally are not even thinking of trying to push for emperor.
Seriously, you had a deadline, you failed to meet it. That's on you. Don't let more transfers flood the console side and put all of our "vertical progress" back in the stone age.
I missed the deadline... I want to play my character that I levelled on PC on my xbox.
I wish I could. I now have to decide if it's worth leveling all over again. I've cancelled my pc account already over this.

Why? not ZOS's fault you did not pay enough attention and missed the MASSIVE amount of info about it. There was a MONTH to be able to do it, there is no way possible you would not have been able to do it in that month.

I was deployed in Afghanistan as I am in the Army for 6 Months, the Massive amounts of publicity about this and the entire month were whilst I was deployed. I was in an outpost in Sangin that didnt have running water, let alone internet access. We got 10mins a week (when the system was working, IF we werent on patrol, IF the power hadnt cut, IF we werent getting shot at or mortared) to answer emails, but access was restricted to a military page that let us draft emails for sending, we didnt have the privlidge of accessing the general internet due to security restrictions.
Please think that there are 100s of possible ways people wouldnt have been able to register and transfer, we dont all have the luxury of being students/having a stable home life etc.
For these reasons, I would dearly love another opportunity to transfer to PS4.

Thank you for saying something. I wrote them about our unit being deployed into the Straits of Hormuz for a time sensitive mission. But I have yet to receive a response back. Something has to be done or the opportunity to present proof to obtain the transfer. We will know in time. I do hope they find a way to help resolve this issue in a fair manner.
Hope someone responds soon. Here's to hope.

Eh not worth giving them my money if they can't get my char on Xbox One. I will just buy other games with the money and discourage any one I know from playing this game.

While these acts of honor and valor may have indeed caused an inconvenience, it doesn't require ZOS to implement additional character transfer opportunities. There are many reasons that one may have missed this cutoff, but that doesn't make it any more logical for them to bring it back.
Out of curiosity, do you petition to local retailers when you miss out on bargains/deals for the same reasons?
Then by all means practice what you are preachin bruh!dcuokassadin_ESO wrote: »dcuokassadin_ESO wrote: »Why? not ZOS's fault you did not pay enough attention and missed the MASSIVE amount of info about it. I don't care about retailers, I only own MMO's. So that doesn't affect me.
Also telling people to give up is shameful.
Give up: cease making an effort; resign oneself to failure.
No thanks I rather not. The only easy day was yesterday.
