So like a week ago or so I saw this one guy selling one code (he got 460k for it iirc) and I reported him 'cause I thought that would be against EULA or something.
But he hasn't been banned so I was just wondering if it's ok to sell those codes ingame? That would be pretty stupid though, it would be like 1£=100k gold

If ZOS didn't want it traded they'd have made it BOA so I see no reason for you to have reported him for selling a game item in-game using in-game currency.

I think what he meant to say was that he was selling in game money for real money.

I don't think they "registered" them when they gave them out. So there is no way to know anything about who had one, bought one, sold one, etc.

All you know...all you can verify is an non-BoP item was sold in game for in-game currency.

    It's a non-issue.

Considering they're sold on eBay for real money I don't see why they would be upset with sales in game. However it would be worth waiting for @ZOS_GinaBruno or @ZOS_JessicaFolsom to ask and get back to us.

He sold the code, not the item. When you use the code it's bound to you account ofc.

@ZOS_MollyH That wasn't what the OP asked, you didn't answer his question.

Even if you didn't read any of the thread at all, the title very clearly states the question is about selling the codes for in-game gold...

I feel like ZOS isn't even trying anymore. : /

@ZOS_MollyH there are two ways which these pig codes are sold.

    1. Out of game money via eBay and such for the code.
    2. In game gold for the the code to me sent to the player.

Which are legal, as there are hundreds of these codes sold via eBay.

but if you try to sent 460k gold vie trade or mail to other player to make this deal - you will be banned by automatic ZOs scanner

    idk how he did it

Uhhm not sure if I understand what you are saying.
So is it ok if I go to eBay and buy 10 codes and then go sell them in game for 400k each?
That would be pretty stupid easy money.

    Greetings all,

To clarify this a bit, please refer to our terms of service for a full understanding of what is allowed and prohibited regarding exchange, sale, or trading of in-game content. The section referring to selling or transferring DLC and content is behind the spoiler below.

But it's okay to sell it for IN-GAME GOLD, and not "real world" money or services. Correct?

Why is it so hard to just say yes or no? : /

I appreciate your trying to chime in on the matter, but you've missed the mark entirely... again.

The OP has absolutely nothing to do w/ either of the responses you've left in this thread. We recognize that you may not sell these codes for "real world" money or services. That's not really what the OP was asking at all.

Actually, you know what? Since you've replied twice now and never said that it's not okay, and nothing that you've linked even mentions selling codes for in-game gold being against the ToS, I am just going to go ahead and assume that this is perfectly fine.

And if anybody asks me why I think that, I will link this thread to them and say that I asked multiple times and was never told it was NOT okay, even though a ZOS mod clearly replied to this topic twice and had every opportunity to correct me.

    Greetings again!

We wanted to ensure that the information was not misconstrued before giving the complete response, I apologize for being unclear!

Provided any in-game content (including pet codes) are not non-transferrable (such as game accounts etc) they *may* be exchanged for in-game resources as any other game content (like crafting materials and non-BOP items)

You may sell your bristlegut pig codes for in-game resources.

Thank you again for your patience while we got you a clarified and complete response for this matter.
