Wondering why you would take Stonefist over Petrify? Ever since the change to petrify it seems to always be the better choice or am I missing something? (less magicka, more damage, same range, depending on morph comes with extra root or damage.. and obviously why most people use it, works versus roll dodgers.. but even disregarding the later, it seems to be better in all other cases too).
Something I haven't tried yet, but if you target doesn't break the CC, it might give you enough time to regen quite a lot of resources (but so might the target.. so not sure if using it like that, if you ever get the opportunity, might be worth it / work)

Petrify is the most cheese ability in the game. Be sure to enjoy a nice glass of cab if you smug enough to use it.
