Build Overview: Lefty's PvP Tank DK
This Dragonknight build requires a substantial amount of player skill, but is capable of outlasting PvP opponents in 1v1 or 1vX scenarios while supporting teammates in small-scale PvP encounters.

- Mobility
- Sustained DPS
- Hard crowd control

✭Wondering why you would take Stonefist over Petrify? Ever since the change to petrify it seems to always be the better choice or am I missing something? (less magicka, more damage, same range, depending on morph comes with extra root or damage.. and obviously why most people use it, works versus roll dodgers.. but even disregarding the later, it seems to be better in all other cases too).
Something I haven't tried yet, but if you target doesn't break the CC, it might give you enough time to regen quite a lot of resources (but so might the target.. so not sure if using it like that, if you ever get the opportunity, might be worth it / work)Edited by Docmandu on May 22, 2015 10:49AM0 -

It really bothers me that Petrify is both a hard CC as well as a root. Breaking CC isn't enough to regain control of your character, because once you break out of Petrify you are still rooted for like 3 seconds. This, to me, seems unfair.
I can not agree with you more that Petrify is a better CC than Stonefist. Unblockable, lower cost, same range. It's an obvious choice. If using Petrify didn't make me feel so dirty inside, I would.
That being said, I'm testing out a high DPS, low survivability build, and I don't think it will even work out without Petrify... I might be forced into using it for my next build!
