Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – April 6

@ZOS give some new content,It starts to blow boredom, and old player leave.

the game starts to get bored, you have been pounding the CP and pvp. Old players are increasingly less likely to log on, or in weeks concerned are offline. Old players are losing heart for the game in the absence of new things added to the game. This is a fast alarming.

I apologize for grammatical errors.

You know, making 50 of these threads a week will make *** for difference.. Until console hits, new pc content is postponed.. and now I apologize for being a little blunt/unfriendly, but you'd do more good just being silent and wait like the rest of us..

Daemons_Bane is correct. You will not see anything heavy in content until after the console part has been released, and even then I would wait until some time in July for them to announce anything.

Indeed. I find myself logging in more and more less. Already lost 1 month playtime. And completely hang behind on CP. But I cant be bothered to grind it up. The Champion System even drives me off now at this point. No way to catch up. So why even bother..

Dungeons are nice and such. But why should I still do them. Got all needed sets, undaunted Skillline is maxed. Same for Trials. No gear worth getting. Besides some random drops that sell for good money. Getting new highscores is nice. But it´s also getting boring now.

The focus on Console and due to that lack of Content killed ESO a bit for me. Sometime I log in, see who is there, chat a bit, troll some ppl in Belkarth and then I am bored and log off again after 15 minutes..

Hurry Zenimax. This game needs something new. So long, gonna fire up Witcher 3 now. :P

Well they could make separate console exclusive campaigns and transfer campaigns where new players can just opt in. That might make a little too much sense and take a little too much effort for ZOS. But then again they might have a bit more respect for the console crowd then for us archaic PC gaming plebs. ;)

W3 is amazing! And the reason I regret having recently renewed my ESO subscription. But on topic; the only reason for me to log in is doing dungeon runs. However, with a broken grouping tool it's near impossible to do these runs. I tried every day last week and got a group on Saturday morning.
I don't mind no new content for now, but at least fix essential MMO tools. If this was fixed I'd enjoy logging in doing two dungeons maybe one DSA. Easily 2 or 3 hours of fun.

The second part of that statement is untrue.

No game in the world is capable of releasing content as quick as it is played through. So it will always get boring and will always lack new and refreshing content.

In the world of monthly subs this is an issue. (most) people only want to pay one sub at a time and will stop paying it here and go to a different game. In a sub-free world that is not true.

I've been playing guildwars2 since launch and there you see the same mistake that people who stop playing are considered lost (or as you put it, lost heart for the game). However, in GW2, my friendslist fills up with people online whenever there is a new release. Just yesterday, only a small update to the main capital town, made my friendlist more active then normally.

In a game like WoW that has an endless grind, where you are lost if you miss one month, people leaving is an issue cause they leave for good. In a sub free ESO, they will come back when the new content is released. If it wasn't for GW2 having a break in their releases so they can bring an expansion, I wouldn't be here. When the expansion is there, I'll play GW2 more. When that get's boring I'll check in here again.

Bottom line. in a subfree world, it is ok to stop playing. People don't loose heart, they just go to the shop nextdoor till this one got the new collection in.

I haven't played for almost 1 month now, there is nothing to do... There haven't been any new end game content for like 7 months now. I have completed all the trials and dungeons multiple of times. It's like they just spitted us veteran players in the face to later focus only on new people and console.
They also made the game ridiculously Easy... They are suffocating their own game with that huge pillow stuffed with money...

The simple fact is that they cant create content as fast as players consume it, of course they can make the game extremely grindy but we know where that goes. Players should learn to play game on and off, and devs should stop this silliness that we need to log in every damn day.

Well, I think one way to make content fast is to recycle content/zones, but dont know what happens to the quality of the game. Or then make some massive open world game, and add some adventures throughout.

This game is still fresh and exciting to me. I started playing during the WBW. I imagine there are enough people like me to keep things going for a little while and that ZOS intended for this to happen as they knew about the console release and their plans ahead of time.

Don't worry, new content will come, just later than you might like.

Mmm the idea to this is to make content that is fun to repeat i will link you two threads that could provide just that.

Player housing/ guild halls with pvp and pve options but it has to be done a certain way read here:

Well the repeatable content they offer is something entirely different. There have been plenty of topics discussing that eso offers no redundant content during it´s leveling experience - this got problematic when they started to hunt down and "fix" every grindspot the game offered. But there are ppl that actually don´t consider twinks/alts an option when it comes to content offered by an mmo.
Their endgame pve content is shady at best. There is no incentive to do trials at all bc their random rewards are actually only vaible for very niche builds (most of them only in pvp). The monster sets (while the shoulder droprate really got better) are a terrible grind for the right traits and armor weights again and also limited by a daily quest as an extra bottleneck. Aaand thats about it. There is nothing more (crafting writs and craglorn quest - mhh) that could be considered endgame pve.
Shallow disguised rgn drop hunting to make the little content offered as timeconsuming as possible.

The only endgame content that has actual replay value is pvp but is treated like the neglected stepchild locked in a cellar. They know it´s there and sometimes they throw a bone - most likely to check if it´s still alive at all.

I feel like the game (after 6 months of nothing) is in dire need of actual new content (and balancing) for pve and pvp. I agree with you that the content design should go more towards replayablitiy without being the tedious grind their current pve content is.

*shrug* I don´t know why i´m writing because i truely believe that they´ve got other priorities than eso-pc atm...

Well because of what you just pointed out and even after console release they have no futher excuses to delay content like they have for the past 6-7 months. They need to take to heart what people like yourself just said and figure a way a way to add repeatable content without it been a bore.

Hence why i am trying to get them to see that if you add something as player housing does not mean it cannot have content for all sides. Like the pvp mini game i have in that thread is similar to something in gta online and people play it hours on end over and over.

The small scale pvp thread shows how small pvp games can be a riot over big avava and a blast to do while waiting.
I have spent at times 20 plus hours straight doing wsg and av in wow over and over because its fun.

But sometimes i feel like i am wasting my time trying to get through to them. :(

We know that the content team is working on Orsinium and Cyrodiil capital while the testing team and console team is working on console. Big zones take a long time to create. Even if there was no console it would still not make it come any sooner since for the most part the content side is the same between console and PC, so it's not like they're pulling resources from PC to Console. It's the same content for both.

It's just as likely that content is being withheld for greater monetization by dwindling crown reserves using mount/costume skin recycling as it is that teased content is still being worked on. I'd even suspect the former over the latter considering how long those two zones you've mentioned have been known.

I think the small bonus for logging in every day is important. As you said. We should stop expecting a game to always be entertaining. The benefit of no required sub is that you can drop it for a while. My experience is that the game is fresh and renewed then. But the requirement to log in every day is so that you don't loose touch completely. You think bout the game everyday and some days you stick around a bit longer and chat with old friends, other days you log off strait away. I do agree the in ESO, there is too much to do when you log in cause too many things are time grated. So keep it there, but make the requirement and bonust smaller.
