I continue to play PVP because I was sold a dream.

For reasons we can all speculate, the dream that was sold is capable on Blackwater yet no where else. Last night, Roebeck was the remaining AD Emp keep, also holding a DC A scroll. Three-way fights all night with mass numbers, it was the best experience I've had this year in terms of server performance mirroring the dream that was sold.

In equivalent circumstances on say Chillrend, there would be potential for the server to lag. This was not the dream that was advertised.

I keep playing pvp for when it works, it is fun. The adrenaline on a killing spree, the small victory you cheer at catching that nightblade/sorc, the lawls at scrubs firing arrows at DK wings whilst screaming 'HAX'. Even defending a keep against the odds, mundane as it is at times, you have that swelling pride on pulling through.

I know the performance of vet servers are capable of being adjusted, it will take a very long time. Thats how things in production go.

ZOS, you sold us a dream, but we bought insomnia.

Best post on the forums in a while.

This one, at the moment, very fun with smaller scale battles ^^ The larger tend to lag more for me, hardware wise but more so on the net.

I prefer options A and B. Why wasn't there an option for AB? Why was D in everything, but nothing was labelled D?

Essentially what is it that keeps you playing PvP? Do you want to win campaigns? Do you just want to have fun competitive fights? Make AP? Hang with friends?

You forgot the letter D in your poll. I suggest that you remake the thread.

Oh, it's there. WRX's D is just really small, so you probably can't see it.

Haha I tried to add more options, but those all glitched, so I went with what I felt would be the most important.

I also would of added ERP, but it would have skewed the polls as it would of been 90% of the vote. And the other 10% clearly just don't understand.

To a degree all of them, but B thrumps not winning, not gaining AP as fast as some, and even some lag to a point.

Unfortunately most players don't feel the same, and fun engaging fights aren't always easy to have when your faction gets chased off a campaign by lag or pop imbalance. If I could have left my main on Blackwater forever I would have. :disappointed:

    It's B by a landslide.

I don't care about AP too much, other than to buy gear/bags for myself and siege for group.

I don't PVE much at all, it's boring, and my time is limited.

The only part of this game that keeps me playing is wiping other groups, especially the ones I respect.

Having nights where you simply roll over certain opposing guilds with even numbers and fair fights... Repeatedly... Is about as good as PvP can get in this game.

Not many fun competitive fights any more.

Even in the kiddie campaign, yellow veterans playing alts to crown someone.
Why would you paint the entire map yellow, in a campaign that is for fun.
You know you can set your alts home campaign to the appropriate buff server to get pve buffs.

I'm always out to win the campaign, but when there is nothing going on I'd rather have fun and screw around. I have a great guild to run groups with, so I save most of the competitive attitude for them.

While I agree, I think a problem is we have so many varying time zones across the campaigns it's just tough to get all the factions together at the same time.

although the main reason I am still here is probably that I am just addicted. With 1.6 it is no longer possible to stay competitive without a 30 man treason. Groups that we would have erupted easily in 1.5 just overrun us now.

I voted B, but obviously at times D can impact on B.

I'd encourage anyone frustrated with PvP to roll a new toon and check out Blackwater Blade. The factions are relatively balanced (AD has had a pop lead lately though that seems to come and go), the fights are big, lag free, and because of battle leveling and people vetting out eventually, the fights are pretty fair. I'd highly encourage everyone and anyone to give it a go. I still PvP in vet too, but

If the pop gets too high there, maybe ZOS will open a second non-vet campaign.

The AP that i get from forum warriors is the best kind of ap you can make. I would have voted for B but unless its only 2 guilds on a server, its next to impossible without the game having a heart attack.

Its not guilds/groups being present that cause lag. Its only the groups flooding abundant healing/purge that really stick it to the megaserver.
