Will ESO Fully Support Windows 10 in the Future?

I hope so, because not only is Windows 10 going to be free, but they will be offering this AMAZING TECHNOLOGY, only in Windows 10.

Microsoft expects that 426 million Windows users will be running Windows 10 by the end of 2015, and up to 1 billion by 2017. Heres some of the LATEST INFO on Windows 10 and the WINDOWS 10 VERSIONS

As well, I heard the FREE upgrade will only be for a limited time (although not very limited, IIRC 6 months or 1 year) therefore if you don't upgrade.. you're SOL.

I have seen posts of people mentioning they currently run Windows 10 with ESO.

I hope so. I went ahead and bought the ESO to XBox one option as while my laptop is a bit dated; Windows 10 sounds like it will let me run the game on the XBox One but actually view it on my laptop.

Supporting Windows 10 does not mean they will upgrade the engine to DirectX12.

Agreed, that would be a major re-write, I don't see that happening anytime soon. In the long term, it would be nice if they eventually did support DX12, it looks like it would solve a few of their game engine issues as well as open up ESO for many more players on lower spec PC's. Check out this MICROSOFT BLOG ARTICLE to see the vast improvements in DX12. For those concerned about Hardware compatibility with Windows 10 & DX12, don't worry, check out THIS ARTICLE . The balanced multi-threading, smoother graphics, and higher frame rates would sure be nice to have in ESO with DX12, but realistically I'm just hoping they will "officially" support Windows 10 and insure the game runs smoothly with it.

Perhaps in the near future ESO can work with current players using Windows 10 Preview to insure that all major bugs are smashed before the official Windows 10 build is released?

Ive been running ESO just fine on Windows 10 for the last 4 months.

That's really good to know, because I've seen other Win10 posts getting errors that prevent the game from even starting. Just curious, are you on the latest 10074 build of Win10 Preview?
