As for the other things you mentioned, I agree with both points. While not mandatory or anything, they both would be nifty.

Yes , this would require a layout change or a new 3rd layoutNewBlacksmurf wrote: »Hmmm push to talk:

Agreed!My additional UI requested setting:
-Don't show health, magic or stamina when using the option not to display unless taking damage (even when buffed)
For some reason, when buffed the bar or bars never go away....makes the setting pointless unless this is fixed

Push to talk is not a permanent mute, like those are. Push to talk means you hold a button down while you say all you want, then when you let it go it automatically puts it back to mute. Push to talk is MUCH better than a straight up mute button as those are.
That said, even if that could function as a push to talk button, even you must admit it's terribly placed. To press it you need to either take your left thumb off the left analog stick or your right thumb off the action buttons, both of which are suicidal for your character in games.

I have it on PC with my WoW headset and the foot peddle. Vent allows it too but on console you'd have to have the hardware adapter so for example the mute button could have a software update on Xbox One to function as push to talk.
But wondering if PS4 has such a button on their hardware now?

Nope PS4 is open mic all the time with the earpiece/mic that comes with the PS4 , some aftermarket headset have them but they are either along the cord or on the headset, requiring you to find them & switch the mic on or off. Which is a hassle in its self so most leave the mic on.
Mirra_Halfelven wrote: »Hell ... I would be happy with an aftermarket button that clips on the controler that you plug your headset into for push to talk, like the Xbone, but we PS4 users dont have that option.
So true.NewBlacksmurf wrote:Sorry but Sony needs to get moving
Mirra_Halfelven wrote: »There is push to talk in DCUO & FF14 on the PS4 ... both are mapped to the right button on the directional pad if I remember correctly ... what ESO has mapped there is cycle quests
That would work but I never toggle view I (hold down D-pad down +move right thumb stick up and down to zoom in and out)Mirra_Halfelven wrote: »Hmm .. I think they could replace toggle view with push to talk
make toggle view down + A on Xbone , down + X on PS4

Yeah...cycle quests has to stay on something tho. All the ppl who complained about the map icons was due to not using the cycle quest feature.
Maybe ...u hmmm....yeah Sony needs to give you guys a button. That's crazy sorry
From the videos i ve seen showing controller keys i noticed that there is not an auto-run key. Auto run is very good and relaxing when gathering or travelling/exploring. A key suggestion would be d-pad up +r3
What is the touchpad used for on the PS4 in ESO?
Wait...can't you turn off proximity voice chat in console? I thought this was a mandatory default setting.
+1 for text chat on console.had to....
If we can't turnoff voice, I'll be adding a lot of people to ignore...which I assume doesn't allow them to talk.
