BUllet points I gathered were
- Will be quite a while yet before we see this, if we see it
- Would have to consider how it affects PVP and PVE together
- Shame I started playing again full time now, and not later this year - hopefully I do not reach VR14 several times over before the remove it!! Maybe I should wait!
- Hoping with removal/change to VR that we get new open world and dungeon content as alliance restrictions removed for PVE.
LOL If you think they will remove vet ranks you are so mistaken. 80% of teso's community are vet 12-14 ranks and they struggled just like me to make it there. We will never allow it. Plus as one guy said , 60% of the story will go wasted. What they gonna do is tweak vet ranks something like 80-90 level cap
Tell that to SWG Jedis after NGE....
I have to laugh every time I see a post like this on VR. Anyone who thinks ZEN is gonna remove VR and not put some other progression in place that will still require a comparable investment of time to achieve the same level of progression is just plain silly.
Sure VR may go away but the required investment of time to achieve progression will not, so keep asking for this "change in name only" change, I would bet real money it is not going to give what most think it will.
Face it the investment in time is not going away to progress, but sure have your non-change-change, i do not care what they call the progression system.

Hmm so you're thinking they're gonna remove VR and adjust the champion system to keep VR elements?
I think most are OK with that, but not O K with having both VR and champion levels. Champion levels seems like the right direction

Honestly, we shouldn't have to 'think' anything. They never should have let it go this long without addressing the current problems with XP and/or telling us the high-level plan for removing vet levels. They honestly can't be afraid of telling us one thing and then changing their mind, as it happened quite often since beta on fairly heavy-hitting topics. I don't know why they allow all of the misinformation and assumptions we come up with to persist.
But hey, we have new cosmetic stuff in the CS this week.

Well we can't act like they didn't say...now a few times that it'll be a phased approach and that the champion system was phase 3 or so. They said the justice system was coming too and it's here. They said that from April to June they would put a huge focus on console launch and they said they problably won't be done until at earliest summer so it's on track.
No "have to think" if people just review the Nivember - current Twitch lives from ZOS.
The problem is people rely heavily on gossip and uninformed media sites and articles instead of taking info from the developer.
We're all guilty but just saying...no guesswork unless ppl just want to be known for guessing right
F2P ruined this game so badly, the community is driving this game in a totally diff direction with stupid ideas

And are there any details specifically about cross alliance restrictions being removed for PVE content?
Well from a marketing standpoint start at 2:16 in this video from their Twitter page about console
Pretty much says the adventure starts at level 50!!! When the Champion system begins
There is no mention of the VR levels so it's pretty much not going to be around much longer if this is the marketing commercial for consoles June 9th launchhttp://youtu.be/JYxYvQ8ieq4
Or they are just going to keep that little secret locked up until release.
Yeah but that would only hurt their possible success. It'd be good to remove VR in June
Well the 5/7 video on this site advertising console doesn't mention VR levels but does highlight champion levels.Naivefanboi wrote: »NewBlacksmurf wrote: »NewBlacksmurf wrote: »I have to laugh every time I see a post like this on VR. Vet ranks are going to be in the game at console launch.
Not smart, console players wknt appreciate a roll back.
Being a lil coy at beast not mentioning vet ranks in trailer.but makes sense theyd wouldnt say anything about it.
They already said it won't be removed before June 9th but there are still 3 more weeks in June....even July is coolNewBlacksmurf wrote: »NewBlacksmurf wrote: »wilsonirayb16_ESO wrote: »Is this actually happening? Where can I read more [officially].

Ofc it's a bad move, but has that stopped <insert AAA PC or console game company here> from doing it before? One would logically assume that if VR were to be removed on console launch, it would have been mentioned by now.

@Skwor is rightAnd TBH lvl progression in this game is super easy, if they would remove vr ranks u could get to endgame content in few days, so i think this is not the way ZoS wants.
