I picked 10-12

12 for one of each class on each faction

Then the other 6-8 for ones that I find interesting and for RP.

1 to 3 at the moment. It depends going forwards how many bit part actors I need for my films. I have the full 8 slots and I really need at least one really short male bosmer for a future project.

I'd buy at least 4.

That gives me a total of 12: enough to have 1 character of each race, 1 mule and 1 slot free to experiment with. If any of those experimental characters became permanent I'd then buy a new experimental slot. (Yes I'm an altaholic.)

Not sure why people want more than 8 slots cause there is really no point in making more than 8 characters.
Unless someone wants one of each class on three factions which is fine but I don't think most people are using slots this way. Most want more instead of buying inventory and bank space

So just ask ZOS for crown bank slots

For bank slots the smart move would be to buy additional accounts, cause then you also get the character slots and the bank and you can buy a discount box for $30 .... As many as possible to horde plus it means i dont have to waste gold on upgrading slots.

Perhaps some people may want them for that, again if that is their purpose then I suggest they should buy a $30 account as the return on these benefits is much better going that route (unless these additional slots are priced lower than a new account divided by 8. I can only speak for myself and this would not be the primary reason I would want them, my primary reason would be to experience the game differently and to have more slots available for rp characters. I think it is disrespectful to pigeon hole 'everyone' with the word 'we' into this category of more bank slots and inventory slots. Frankly since the changes in 1.6 I have no inventory problems don't need any extra space and still can upgrade the bank and character slots I have further if it becomes an issue in the future.

Hopefully the mods are watching these threads carefully!, Wish they would comment but I guess they've gotten burned to much from comments in the past....even a "Hey we are watching this thread" post would be encouraging though.

I'm not really big on creating alts, but I would love the option to create more characters if desired. This honestly should already be in the crown store, along with bank space and bag space. I know I am beating a dead horse here.

I recently joined a pvp guild that asked me to wear a quest disguise that i cannot get because i did the quest many months ago.

I have 6 ad and 2 ep chars maxed out on hirelings and on bag space and horse space but now i have to delete one ep char to make a dc char and get the disguise

What a pain...

So yes, i would buy a char slot, right away

Pretty sure last ESO Live or the one before, they have explicitly stated NO MORE CHAR SLOTS....

If they did offer them, it would depend on the price as to how many I buy and whether I need the bank space.

How many I would buy would depend on so many factors. First and foremost: do I have anew idea for a toon I want to play.

Over 50% of my toons, in all games, start from the idea "oh, that would be a cool background for a character".

Then whether or not I need more storage may come into it.

I am a bit of a completionist with MMORPGs, if I enjoy the game and stick with it long enough it is entirely possible I would end up with one of each class, for each faction.

I have even been know to "retire" character when I feel I can't go anywhere else with them, but I rarely delete them.

If I don't click and stick with the game its entirely possible I'd never buy another slot, if I do its equally possible I'd buy 20 plus.

I would not buy more slots.

So far I've only used 5 slots, one for each char class plus an early mule char. I can't see making more than 3 more charactors ever. Although I do support people if they want to make 10, 15, 20 chars or more for RPing etc.

I think you can go back and get most of the disguises without having to reroll (could be wrong...either way this is yet another case that disguises need to go into the changing room, with mounts, rewards, pets, etc...) Best of luck I wouldn't delete a character just for a disguise....

@Gandrhulf_Harbard completely understand your sentiment, thats why I think if they priced them really cheap they might actually make more money on other sales. I mean if I have 50 alts on 1 account then it is much easier to justify a mount that unlocks on all of them as the per character cost is lower. Thanks for commenting please keep in touch!

Hang on... Super off topic, but it's a PVP guild, so presumably it's focused on one faction, right? And because your characters are AD and EP I'm assuming it's focusing on one of those 2 factions... And they require you to wear a disguise that's only obtainable in DC?

I may be jumping to some conclusions in the above, but this sounds like a bit of an odd guild.

Can you not do that quest as the Gold/Silver quest for one of your other characters? Or have you done that specific quest on all your characters already?

If you are wearing a disguise in the same alliance/faction you picked it up in - if you battle any of the "original category" of enemies it was used to disguise against - it's at risk. So the only "safe" option for long term use of a disguise is to use it in some "other" alliance/faction.
