Is there anything on the Crown Store worth buying?

I have just returned to the game after a long while and have 800 crown points to spend. Looking at the Crown Store, there isn't really anything that grabs my attention. Everything seems quite pricey and most of it is just vanity stuff. Can anyone tell me what items are actually worth buying or should I just spend my crowns on something cosmetic?

Cosmetics mostly. The crown store repair kits are really nice, one of them repairs all 7 pieces.

I find the repair kits to be worth it. It's a single use consumable that repairs all your gear. 10 for 400 crowns.

I got a guar. And I don't regret it. He's like a giant frog. Named him Meat. Perfect for my argonian, Drains-His-Mugs.

Might have to take mine for a spin in it at the weekend if the weather in Daggerfall is nice.

They introduce new items every couple of weeks it seems, so you could save them until you see something you like.

I'm still saving my crowns in hopes that they introduce something I actually want to the crown store. If they don't add anything I want in the next couple months, I may end up getting some random cosmetics.

I'm hoarding crowns for the next DLC, but I did buy the red striped guar because my NB looks good on it.

Honestly, no. Nobody can tell you that, because the only items on the Crown Store are either cosmetic or convenience. There's nothing there that everyone will universally consider to be worth buying. So the only person who can decide what (if anything) on there is worth buying is you.

There are some things on the Crown Store that I personally considered worth spending the Crowns on, but that doesn't mean those items are necessarily worth buying for you.

I mean, for me it was worth spending Crowns on some of the mounts and pets because I like to give each of my characters a mount and pet that's appropriate for that particular character. You very well may feel differently. I've also talked to a couple of people who thought the Crown potions were worth buying because they automatically increase in level as their characters level. I don't personally think that makes them worth buying for me, because I'd rather just make a new batch of tri-pots for my characters as they level.

So until there's some DLC on there (which could be legitimately reviewed by people, making it valuable to ask if it's worth the price), there's really no point in posing this question to anyone other than yourself.

I haven't seen anything at all on the crown store that I'd want to spend real money on. That said, I did spend a portion of my free allotment when it first opened to try out the scaling potions. Wasn't impressed, therefore I am not spending on it.

If Zeni wants MY money, all they have to do is what's in my sig. Until then? Not a single red cent.
I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
    1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
    2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
    3) Difficulty slider.
    4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.

No, nothing worth it at all. I have 3,500 crowns now and nothing to buy.

    IMO? No.
That's why I refuse to buy crowns or subscribe.
Plenty of it is interesting but overpriced. It's obviously designed with only those who have either so much money they have nothing to worry about or those who have no concern from money and would rather get a horse than pay rent.

If you have left over coin, being able to reset anywhere is good. Repair kit is great.

Only thing I have bought so far is the Cooks outfit and I only bought that because when I came back (After leaving after the 1st month of live), I found I had 700 crowns. I was tempted to get the Big Cat Mount especially after seeing one in game but when I went to buy one they had been removed from sale.

So, we want substantial items that affect gameplay, but also don't affect gameplay so much that it becomes mandatory to get said items. Very fine line there. Oh, and we want a lot of it. For cheap.

Not sure if we can get all of these requirements all the time guys. If we had to sacrifice one, which would we sacrifice?

I agree, and this is fun for me.

It's not "pay to win" which would unbalance, but more like "pay to personalize" which I will in fact spend stuff on.

Still waiting for an item to "level up" certain quest items (not set items for a bonus - nothing like that - I just can't bear to part with Brakenleaf's Bow).
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

Value is subjective, so it's hard to answer this question.
IMO cash shop items should sell for no more than a dollar or two each.
What items are included in this do not matter, including "P2W" items.

P2W is equally subjective. IMO P2W is acceptable until it becomes a requirement.
A requirement meaning it would take a considerable amount of time, or be entirely/ near impossible, to progress in the game without these items. Simple boosts and convenience items are completely acceptable.

Wouldn't mind a crown store skill or attribute reset. Not sure if others would consider that pay to win as you save some gold, but it would save me some grinding time. Then again, I probably am going to do a little grinding anyway to familiarize myself with the new build and get champion point progress.

You've already technically purchased everything that's in the Crown Store. It's already in your game files. It's just stuck behind another pay wall if you want to actually use it.

That's the rub about DLC expansions. Is it really downloadable content? Or is it just already-downloaded content stuck behind another pay wall?

I'm sure by the time something good actually comes out, we'll start calling it as it really is. Everything in the store is a Locked Feature of the game. I'm sure the team hates that term, though, because it puts an awful lot of pressure on them to develop something worth unlocking.

If you aren't sure, just wait. We cant tell you if there's anything worth it because honestly, its a personal opinion. My personal opinion is that there isn't anything worth it atm. Doesn't mean others share my sentiments and that's cool, its totally up to you.

I am waiting until DLC most likely, or character slots or barber shop. Those are the things I am willing to spend the bucks on. Everything else is just fluff.
