Wait... are you saying that's not how horses work in real life?Mettaricana wrote: »also immersion your horse spawns from mid air and vanishes when stepping in a puddle as well as immortal and re summonable there is no immersion here.

New horse feature in 1.6: Parkinson's Disease
My horse stops randomly, slows down randomly, speeds up randomly, and twitches.

So to combat this all blending animation mechanics were basically removed from the game, which include the horse steady increase/decrease in acceleration.
Which is a shame because the horse mechanics were really nice, and now they're a little silly. But we'll all get use to it, hopefully.

As someone who rides a lot in cyrodill, being able to cast manuvers while mounted and being able to weapon swap is an amazing change! But the physics of the horse seemed to have taken two steps backwards. The new feature for riding over small objects was not really needed imo. Now, its like hitting a brick wall when riding over a small object, going from a full sprint in manuvers to inching along isnt very realistic.
I love being able to weapon swap and cast manuvers though!
Totally agree. Turning and acceleration/deceleration controls for mounts were a lot better and felt a lot more precise in Update 5. Now, when your horse is facing right on your screen and you just tap the <A> key quickly to turn left, your horse will immediately sprint half a mile to the right instead (in the direction it was facing, the opposing direction from where you actually wanted to move!). It feels more like controlling a hovercraft than riding a mount in Update 6.Theegoliath wrote: »Why change the mount physics? Gone is the acceleration and smooth deceleration.
