I mean come on, the least you guys can do is acknowledge that it exists. It makes any "large scale PvP" pretty much unplayable or at the very least a who can spam more spells with more people game. Siege weapons being lost because of lag, you place them and they become unusable. As of the last week I have noticed even doing trials that there are latency issues with my latency shooting up from 120 to over 4k. Lastnight in Cyrodiil, the game looked like a stop motion movie. our group of 16, which some factions might refer to as a "Zerg" was moving from Drake to Sej 25 feet at a time, stopping then warping 25 feet, etc etc. the battles consisted of seeing the enemy group, then the groups converged then a warpfest of bodies.
I really want to see this game thrive, but with the current decisions being made to ignore the playerbase on items such as this it boggles my mind. I'm in no way a business major, but I would think even in this realm customer service still means something. The following clip is a direct quote from the current ESO website, kind of funny if your a current player;
"The drums of war have reached a fever pitch, calling the warriors of Tamriel to the field of battle. The Daggerfall Covenant, the Ebonheart Pact, and the Aldmeri Dominion will take up arms and fight for control of Cyrodiil, the Imperial City, and the throne of Tamriel.
Featuring three-sided Player vs. Player (PvP) gameplay, The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited supports hundreds of players on screen at once in an open world fight for control of Cyrodiil. Seize, hold, and control the resources of massive strongholds. Utilize massive siege weapons to crumble fortress walls and smash through fortified gates. Conquer the Imperial City, and your alliance's top player could even be crowned Emperor!
Get ready for the most intense online PvP experience ever created, with The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited features the largest PvP battles seen in a major online RPG. The game supports hundreds of onscreen players in epic battles. Swords and axes collide, spells and powers illuminate the ground and sky, and fires rage on embattled stronghold walls. Will you survive these epic battles? Can your overwhelming force take the keep, or will you be forced to retreat?
The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited is built to accommodate hundreds of players onscreen at once."
I don't think putting a band-aid on this by spreading players out and encouraging that they do not engage into "epic battles" is a valid fix. But, like I said just engage us with the acknowledgment that something is broken and dedicate the resources to fix it. It really does feel as if ZOS has abandoned PC players and don't care about them because they are looking to the next platform.
Like I said I want this game to succeed, you guys want constructive criticism and solutions, I think i threw some out there.....
Communicate.
Thanks

Well, technically they have frankly and explicitly acknowledged it multiple times. There was an entire ESO Live interview devoted to the exact topic. Both Brian and Gina outright referenced the massive amount of topics about it on the forums in the interview multiple times.
But, obviously, they haven't solved the issue and also obviously they're not devoting enough resources to it.
On the right track.. they should have a vet Campaign starting with no AoEs except siege and Templar healing AoEs whereby every couple days they introduce another AoE ability via hot fix.Brassmonkey wrote: »I think they should have different versions of the campaign that supports less amounts of people at a time. Maybe split it up a bit more so their isn't 100's people onscreen casting aoe spells. Either way they'll have to address it with the current impending release for consoles. I think the console users may have a harder time with the lag than we do. I may be wrong obcourse.
They will be on their own servers... with their own code if I'm guessing right (no text chat, voice chat in game, etc). Will they have addons?
It's possible that ZoS is designing console Cyrodiil in ways that will make it better than what we are seeing on PC servers?
I don't know anyone in console beta, but maybe they have some perspective.

The lack of keyboard text chat support may help decrease lag in Cyrodil since there won't be a way to issue out orders via zone chat to coordinate movement of the Zerg. In theory that means the PVP activity in Cyrodil will be more spread out instead of concentrated like we see in the PC version.

They will have an easier time fixing a lot of issues with the console version, because everyone's PS4 is the same, and everyone's Xbone is the same. Not everyone's PC is the same, though.
Dear Zos
@ZOS_AlanG
Because he will actually answer
Why are we forced to submit tickets to get questions answered?.
What i mean by this is
Just got this little tidbit from the Customer Support email:
« hide previous quotes
Hi ,
I'm really sorry for the delay of answer, we have been quite busy lately.
We are well aware of the feedback regarding the chat on console and even though it will probably not be available at the release, but this is something we are considering thanks to the feedback from the players as you just did.
Regarding your second question, there is no plan to remove the text chat from the PC version so you don't have to worry about it
I hope I answered to your questions and concerns and I wish you a great day.
Warmest regards,
Yoann
The Elder Scrolls Online Tamriel Unlimited Team
Why couldn't we just been told this to save all the tickets put in to just get an answer?.
The easy questions get an answer quickly but if you want to know ZOS opinion on the harder topics like housing you are forced to put a ticket in to get the answers we need so we can relay it back to the thread.
Would love to know if we can come to a comprise on this.

They are already more than aware of it. The post from march will have to do for now

Which call me an ass, in pretty unacceptable. You would wait for a month and a half if you had a service or utility that wasn't operating properly? I understand fixing the issue is not something that is going to be fixed overnight, but to be left to think its forgotten while they work on the next big thing kinda sucks is all.

They might have better luck with some different people, but "enough resources" is a fallacy. Managers fall into that trap all the time. Just throw more bodies at it. If it takes 9 months for one woman to make one baby, nine mothers should be able to do it in one month.

Ya, but 9 mothers can make 9 babies in 9 months.
Meaning if we had 9 dev teams working, we should have seen by now:
- Solution to Cyrodil Lag Issues
- Enforcer System
- Theives Guild
- Dark Brotherhood
- Imperial City
- Wrothgar
- Osirim
- Better Guild Management Tools
- Player Housing

Meh. 1 million mothers can make 1 million babies in 9 months, but it still takes 9 months per baby. Having a billion mothers working on a billion babies does not make the one baby you want pop out faster.
