Did Yldzuun with my VR4 EP Dunmer, most containers were full.
Went over to Santaki, almost all containers were empty.

It feels like they reintroduced the old bug were containers wouldn't respawn in any location once you cleared any delve of Dwemer containers. Might have to test further to confirm.

Ok, so, Whilst I was up at a god awful time this morning to make sure we landed our Trader (EU Server) I ran a small test.

I went to Avanchnzel and ran it. Got a motif. I then went over to Inner Sea and the first 30 or so chests were empty and I left.

I could be wrong, generally am, but I suspect once you've run a dwemer mine, your on a time until you can productively run another one...*shrugs* Obvious way to cap the motif drop from farmers and leave it there for randoms...*shrugs*

Yes, this was my observation as well. However, when they first added the Dwemer motif in 1.5 (I think), this also happened, and it was considered a bug and fixed. I assume it's just back.

I did Mzeneldt last night on my new Templar for the Fighters Guild quest. Wow, talk about a major nerf hammer. At least 90-95% of all the containers in the dungeon were empty. I didn't find a single Dwemer page, nor did I expect to with that kind of a nerf. So it doesn't matter if they put hundreds of containters in the other dungeons, if they reduce the loot table down to .001%, good luck!

Just curious.. any chance its not that the containers were empty as much as:

1. Another person was clearing the containers before you ?

or

2. That the individual spawn of the containers is not happening? (Pretty sure they nerfed this in Coldharbor tutorial when it was revamped and now it seems to be spreading.)

Not sure if you were responding to my message, but in the case of Mzeneldt that particular quest is a solo instance so there would be no other players going around stealing my loot

Besides, every person has their own instance of the container content. One of the Dwemer urns might contain a motif for you, but that same urn might contain a lockpick for me. No, it was definitely a nerf, just like they announced in the patch notes, but much harder than I expected.

There was a bug before the last major update, that left most or all Dwemer containers empty. It was a bug and it was fixed. It may be a resurfacing of that same bug.

Patch notes (one before yesterday's) says that they nerfed Mzeneldt specifically. That's not a bug. What bugged and *cough* attempted to fix was-- by nerfing Mzeneldt (for Fighter's Guild) delve they also inadvertently nerfed other dwemer ruins. Yesterday's patch was "supposed" to fix it...
Sounds like a fix reverted to another bug. More containers, more lockpicks or empty, just like Mzeneldt. Sadly.

Just did the same quest on my Templar and 99% of the containers where empty. I even logged out played on another character for a while and jumped back on my Templar and went into the delve to run through the quest a second time and again 99% of containers where empty. Good thing I farmed all my motifs on my main before they brought the motifs to the cash shop.

I say 99% because I might have missed one or two. I am pretty thorough so I doubt it.

OP doesn't read patch notes, I guess.

Due to extensive pillaging, many containers in Mzeneldt (the Dwemer ruins from the Fighters Guild questline) and Avanchnzel (the Dwemer delve located in the Rift) have been ransacked, causing many of them to be emptier than before. We are looking at increasing the number of interactable objects in other Dwemer locations in the future.

Mzeneldt got hit hard. Avanchnzel got hit less hard, but it did get hit. Other ruins got more containers. The drop rate itself didn't change.

The bug with some delves having no full containers isn't new and was never entirely fixed. I still ran into it a few times after it was supposedly patched out. Sorry about your luck.

Dwemer chapters are dropping at about the same rate for me as they always did. Nirncrux, too. Neither are common, and dry spells are just typical RNG. Don't let idiotic paranoia get the better of you.

That's because pillagers went in and looted all the cannisters. Well, that's according to ZOS' patch notes. They never mentioned who the pillagers were though but my guess is it was a cover up.

Strange that the motif showed up on the store shortly before the incident.

This is an obvious assumption and not really even a topic for discussion. The developers of this game have been put into a spot where they have been told they need to sell more. Sadly, they seemingly don't have the capacity to sell new style items or content but instead are repurposing old items and changing the "classic" game to sell more of those said items... Which is something they said they would not do.

Don't think I can trust Zenimax Online Studios anymore for anything besides them asking for more money. They aren't even adding new content but they are still asking for more money lol. Someday the game will be worth a return. Absolutely no clue when that will be though haha.

I can't stand The Angry Joe Show but he's been pretty spot on when predicting what would happen this year with The Elder Scrolls Online.
