Subbed for a Whole Year and didn't get a Beta code

And that, @originalbars, is why I didn't personally waste any time on being upset about not getting a beta code. It's pretty obvious this isn't really a "test". It's to get console players excited about ESO, which is fine by me. The more money ESO makes on console the better it will be for everyone.
What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.
    That's right... Horse.

If you guys think that the beta is 100% random you need to put down the pipe for a while

I didn't say it was 100% random, but they certainly don't take every single player of different situations, and they don't cherry pick them personally either.

Guess I wasn't talking you then, eh?

Quit whining. Everybody seems to have some reason to think they are entitled to the Beta.
As a customer, yes, you deserve more than what has been given to you. You've paid a lot of money and you've been screwed over quite a bit.
Betas, however, are for people who are qualified to test the game or who are going to be sharing gameplay and giving them free advertising. Everybody else is just luck of the draw. This is completely logical and fair.

You realize I run the ESO Wiki right? How am I not qualified?

    Cas

Oh god... You're one of those "Do you KNOW who I am?!" people...
No, I didn't know that. The fact you expected me to know is pretty ridiculous.

I fail to see how running a wiki is relevant to beta testing.
I can see why you are upset. You've been a loyal customer for some time and you feel you are being cheated. You are. However, there are limited slots available and you apparently did not get the golden ticket. You'll get over it.

You have the game. You can already play it. And you have the transfer, you're already sold as a customer.

LMAO. I guess it was a bit ridiculous for me to expect you to know that, my bad. In my defense though, pretty damn ridiculous to say you have to be qualified to hold a controller and play a game. Also, you've pretty much been a *** the whole thread.

My whole point was simply I am bummed we aren't being rewarded for being the loyal customers who subbed the whole time and purchased the transfer. It's perfectly logical.
    Cas

P.S. Also maybe posting here will give some visibility to this and maybe Zenimax will change their policies to reward these players in the future.

I apologize, I'm not trying to be rude.
The console beta is a marketing move. The only people they really want is people who will be streaming or uploading gameplay to promote the game.
They will, of course, have a portion of people who have experience with previous betas or participated in the PC beta and assisted them. However, it appears the game is stable. At least from what I've seen.
    The rest is fairly random.
If you don't benefit them in terms of marketing or bug/ glitch testing and didn't get lucky with the random draw there's really nothing that can be said. There's no "qualification" to hold a controller and play a game. That's not what betas are for.
I'm sorry you didn't make the cut. As one of their original and still active customers you certainly deserve more than what ZOS has given you thus far. You've been screwed over and you're angry. I get it.
It still doesn't mean you deserve or qualify to participate in the beta.

    Edit: Spelling/ grammar fix.

So then what does "random is random" even mean? (your statement)

It's obvious that popular streamers were hand-picked to participate in this beta. If it was a truly random selection among all people who applied, the chances of virtually all the popular streamers getting selected would be astronomically low.

So anyone who thinks that at least some of the testers weren't hand-selected is deluding themselves.

If you aren't one of these people, then I don't see why you would say something like "random is random."

Just bad decision making skills on how to distribute the beta codes. Considering ZOS's LONG history of poor decisions I am not surprised.

And nice wiki, it could use some better organization but thats just because I have mild OCD lol

I have to receive one. Sad, I'd like to give it a go on PS4 if only for curiosity's sake.

Unless you are a Twitch streamer or have the luck of the gods, you did not receive a Beta invite. It does not matter if you are a subscriber or if you purchased the console transfer. No customer appreciation for you!

These tidbits make me think this Beta event is not a testing event; but rather, it is a promotional event instead.

Do you think Angry Joe or Francis got the beta keys?

They seemed pretty angry when they quit the game, wonder if they'd try it again but on console instead.

The thing that bugged them the most was crash bugs, quest bugs, dupe bugs, bank bugs, bugs bugs bugs bugs bugggs!

I bet some of the ones that got invites had no logged time on the PC version. They need fresh input as much as experienced.

Take me for example, I never beta tested a game nor played an MMO (before ESO Beta) and I wound up being a member of the 0.016% , The Original Psijic Order (closed full time beta group). It could have been a mistake but I like to think it was the abstract view from the norm that got me in.

    Been here ever since.

    Would love some help! :)
The game is really big, and whilst we have kept the sets pages top notch, I still have to get *all* the numbers for damage and defense on weapons, armors, glyphs since the big update... Any and all help appreciated xD

At this point I'm not sure what you mean when you say "deserve or qualify to participate in the beta". I was in the beta on PC, I have subbed the entire time the game has existed, I purchased the transfer, filled out the survey.

I manage the highest ranking Wiki (in google), I have 1000s of Twitter followers and YouTube subs, and our stream last week had 2800 viewers at its peak (5600 the week before). I'm not trying to toot my own horn, but you make it sound like you some how "deserve" it because you are a streamer and the rest of us who were left out aren't...I would argue you that you deserve it less than loyal customers.

I'd like to make it abundantly clear that my gripe wasn't about who I am or how big my channel/following is, it was about being a supportive customer who felt slighted. That is all.

I'm pretty sure you'll get a code if someone from ZOS reads this thread. However, the chances of that are minimal unless people start reporting each other / breaking the COC.

Im part of a streamer network with thousands of viewers, however didn't make this known when applying for the beta.

I made this known a few days ago and just got your standard automated response (by ticket) that no more keys are being given out.

I guess they'd rather give keys to streamers with less than 100 subs (In the end they do deserve some publicity afterall)

Like i said in my previous post, ZoS has no confidence in their game and is playing it safe, this was a marketing move pure and simple.
