Everyone participating in the ESOTU console beta test will have access to the full console version of the game, not a slimmed down version.
At the moment, the client will exceed a 50GB Blu-ray disc which means there will also be a large day-one patch that is somewhere in the region of 15GB.
O.o many consoles cannot even Hold that amount of data reasonably, at least if the owner plans on playing and downloading other games

So apparently ZoS thinks everyone can download ~65GB in a fast enough time to still make a four day beta.

65gb is freaking huge as a single download. Then again, same as the PC version of GTAv
derpsticks wrote: »I don't need to and fail to see your argument. Are you complaining that eso is big in comparison to other games or that it is too big of a download or what.
Games get bigger over time. If someone wants to play eso they can find 65gb.
Don't get me wrong, I like large games.

Actually hold on a second, I swear when I downloaded it on my pc for the welcome back weekend it was only like 30gigs, was I mistaken?
Did it just download some of it then download the rest in the background as needed?
Also if I'm not mistaken and it was only like 30gigs why is the console version so much more?

Not sure what was available for welcome back weekend but the actual game is over 65gig on my HD

Xbox One comes with a 500Gb hard drive, but only 362 GB is usable. That still leaves right under 300 GB for other games, which is plenty in my opinion.
No clue on PS4 spacing, I don't own one.

Can you name a larger game besides Star Citizen?
Can you name a larger game on consoles?
Don't get me wrong, I like large games. Saying 65GB is "not much" though is just incorrect though. That's a very large game by any system's (or even PC) standards.

I'm not really sure what you're trying to say. Can you clarify please?

See my post, it's 42 GB if you don't count old patches nor PTS server clients.
I see now. I forget I have PTS too so it's almost doubleNewBlacksmurf wrote: »Actually hold on a second, I swear when I downloaded it on my pc for the welcome back weekend it was only like 30gigs, was I mistaken?

It's 50GB for the final release or for the beta too?
I know they mentionned that the beta is the full game, but 50GB is a bit too much for me. It will take days to download that.

I'm saying 65 GB isn't much compared to the 362 GB space available on an Xbox One, but 65 GB is indeed a lot of space just for one game to use.
