Isn't that, like, $100? Personally I expect all DLC content to be around 1500-2000 Crowns (this is $15-$20 and about what you would pay for a standard-sized DLC on Xbox Live). My guess is around 10,000 crowns for a large expansion sized DLC
@RosveenYeah. 5.5k crowns is $40, I don't know how they can possibly sell DLC for more. I wouldn't pay even that. Then again, I wouldn't pay 20 bucks for a flaming pony... So what do I know?

If mount cost 2,5k dont except DLC cost will be less then this lol
Given that I'm in Britain, it was extrapolation, based on 1500=£8.99. In the UK, sub=£8.99; in the US, sub=$14.99. This implies that 1500=$14.99, so 10,000=$99.93. I wasn't counting the discount you get for buying more crowns at once. Not sure where you getting your math from...
5500 Crowns is £23.99 which is roughly $34 and since they like to charge £50 for a relaunch of paid PC beta I figured 10,000 crowns for expansion like DLC can't be far off...
Is that Nightmare Courser? Didn't realise they were going that high with mounts. Still, ~$25 seems a bit high for a mount... based on Xbox Live prices I wouldn't want standard DLC to be any more than that, and as JoffyToffy69 says, console gamers would be less likely to pay it if it is more than that.Bloodystab wrote: »If mount cost 2,5k dont except DLC cost will be less then this lol
No, I'm saying I was surprised it's that much and that I hope they don't think DLC must therefore have to be more than that. Putting the price high for uniqueness and profit is fine; using it as a bench-mark to charge $30 for DLC is not.Are you saying you would rather the horse be cheap so everyone had one? Wouldn't be as unique, and Zeni wouldn't make good profit. It's cosmetic.
I'd like to sub to ESO Plus, but I don't want my alts to outlevel all the content because they're getting 10% bonus XP. They are already 2 levels above recommended. For my Vet though, it's all good. Also, if DLC costs so much, just pay for ESO Plus. More expensive in the long run, but you won't have to fork out the 40-50$ you are assuming you'll have to for DLC. I'm sure it'll be 20$ or less. If not, I'll pay for sub.
imo, it cant be more then the subscription rate... The sub gives you free download of the DLC. If they made the DLC cost more, then everyone would just sub for a month, get some benefits and get the DLC for cheap. imo, i think your looking at ~10-15 max. Unless they jack up the sub fee to like $25.

The $25 mount is for the whales. As for the DLC - well it depends on the content and frequency. Other F2P/B2P MMOs release extra dungeons, quests and other playable content as well as new items, etc fairly cheap ($15-$20 or even for free) and major expansion packs as a fairly major game overhaul with new zones, races, etc for $30-$40 or so.
Examples:
SWTOR sells it's latest DLC with increased level cap, new worlds and quest chains for $20.
The upcoming FFXIV xpac is getting new major zones, playable races, classes, level cap increase as well as flying mounts, which requires a fairly major redesign of the entire world. And this is selling for $40.
LOTRO sells major DLCs for $40, with new zones, etc, and minor DLC for $20 with new armour packs and quests (and these kind of suck).
I got the impression ZOS will be initially selling smaller intermediate updates as DLCs, and then maybe an xpac with new zones later. So my guess their prices would be similar to other MMOs. $20 for intermediate DLC, $40 for xpac/major DLC.
Mind you, the quality/quantity of ESO updates so far has been a bit lacklustre. I don't hold much hope for any minor DLCs being particularly content-rich. The major DLC/xpacs may add more, but let's hope they're not Craglorn quality. Yawn-eriffic.
