I'd love to have a mobile ESO app that would allow us to perform certain in-game tasks when we're away from our computers. In addition to the obvious social abilities of chatting with friends and guildies, I've listed below several functions I'd like to have available outside of Tamriel. Let me know if you agree, disagree, or have additional features you'd like to see.It would also be nice to have access to certain in-game information:
- feeding horses
- researching weapon/armor traits
- checking mail
- updating our sales items in our guild stores
- updating guild page information and performing other guild-related tasks
I'd also like access to my characters' information:
- alliance war status of campaigns we are in
- lunar calendar (for bloodfiend/werewolf spawns).
- achievements
- basic vital statistics
- skills
- morphs
- gear
- professions
- books my characters have picked up
Search function would have revealed:

We didn't have the lunar calendar on there. Good idea!
Okay, I'll bite.
The problem with smartphone applications that actually allow you to do things that you would normally have to do in game is that, as you can imagine, they often discourage players to actually log in to play. And logging in is what ZOS needs players to do to support the game...so I don't think a mobile app that actually allows you to do things will happen.
That said, if said smartphone/tablet app allows you to view things, or send you reminders, or check on the current status of X, Y and Z, then I think that would be useful and I'd absolutely download and utilize it daily.
So here's my list of items I'd like to see, pulling some from your list, others from the thread @Gidorick linked, and a few from myself.
- A fully-rendered character preview
- A wardrobe & dye station preview, which would allow you to test the looks of different armor skins, styles, and dyes (you'd still have to log in to craft/apply dyes, but who doesn't like to play dress-up?)
- View character achievements
- View the map
- View Cyrodiil campaign scores, emperor-rankings, populations, and map
- Preview mail (and perhaps be able to collect mail, but not send it)
- Read Lore-books and other story/quest summaries
- View Journal
- Patch Notes & ZOS updates
- Skill/Attribute Build planner (again, let you test new builds before you actually apply them to characters in game, but not let you do it until you're logged in)
- Access/add/remove to Friends List & Ignore List
- View & Chat in guild-chat
- View Guild MotD, Summary, Description, Membership Lists, and History
- For GMs, a preview system for designing your guild herald before applying it in-game
- View & Search Guild Store listings (but not be able to list/purchase)
- View Horse/Mount Feed Timer
- View crafting research timers
- Lunar Calendar (I like that idea, although I'm not WW/Vamp)
- Community Creations/Resources Area (promote player-created art, podcasts, shows, streams, and/or events on the app)
- Access/use the in-game Crown Store to buy things (because I want to spends all the monies)
AND THE BIG ONE:
- Follower Mini-Games. I'd love to have a short mini-game that I could play with/as my crafting followers, and it could allow me to earn more [or better] crafting materials every day. It doesn't have to be anything elaborate, but it would be cool to see. Kinda goes against my whole "apps that do things discourage logging-in" thing, but at the end of the day, I know ZOS has stated that they want to add more interactivity with your followers, and this would be a pretty fun way to do that, and encourage people to download the app.
Apologies for abnormally-long bullet point.
I think my two favorites are the Community Creations & Mini-Games ideas, but everything that I listed is something that I would use, despite the fact that nothing really is letting me do things that I would otherwise need to do in-game (again, difference between seeing/previewing and actually doing/applying).
Ruze is a veteran of the PC Beta, lived through the year one drought, survived the buy-to-play conversion, and has stepped foot in the hells known as Craglorn. He mained a nightlbade when nightblades weren't good, and has never worn a robe. He converted from PC during the console betas, and hasn't regretted it a moment since.
He'd rank ESO:TU (in it's current state) a 4.8 out of 5, loving the game almost entirely.

The crucial point for me is mini-games and whatnot. I very much like those.
