The recent cross-screen advertisements, continued lag across game (has gotten better), lack of new content, and a feeling that my feedback isn't valued or heard has left me feeling like I am not valued. How do you feel as a subscriber? Do you feel appropriately valued?

Release new maps aready; we saw them half finished one year ago, still you kept us betatesting your game for Consoles and now...you're delaying DLC for consoles again?! Bad.

The cross-screen spam is beyond insulting as a subscriber. The lack of new playable content coupled with the constant stream of new PAYABLE content also makes me feel bad as a subscriber. The monthly Crown allowance is not enough to buy anything worthwhile. I don't feel like my feedback is valued or heard. Yet I am still subbed...sitting here asking ZOS to start treating us like they actually want our subscriptions.

the lack of content is really glaring, as well as how undervalued i feel as a pc subscriber, i feel as though there is very little care for us, especially those of us who have stuck to it since early access.

Honestly, ZOS needs to value us far more than they are, ignoring us for console

Haven't really experienced much "lag" and I think lag is actually subjective to your internet connection, hardware, resources being used and other things. I also think "feedback being heard" is also somewhat subjective- because we won't really know one way or another unless responded to directly.

That said, I do sometimes question whether ZOS is constantly listening to those who aren't really contributing much more than the initial game price- and as I've stated before the current subscriber offerings do feel a little meager. Crown Store tokens only apply if you actually have something available you're interested in spending them on. Beyond that, all we really get is an earning bonus of 10% but that's subjective to how much you even play. People who play more often (have more time to play) will gain more from this than those who say, have full time jobs, etc. will.

I do also feel the game is lacking in new content beyond Crown Store DLC offerings- The game has been out a long time, and we've yet to see much in the way of area expansion and so forth beyond tossing in a few dungeons for people to explore. I feel that ZOS will end up losing what little subscribers they have left if this continues- but that's only my opinion.

Played since launch, love the game and always been a loyal player and have kept my Sub but I do feel as if what is offered for Subbing to ESO is pretty poor.

Just my opinion on it though.

I've been here since late beta (the official one). There is still content that I haven't done yet (group content) that I'm working on, so I still feel involved in the game. But I definitely do not view Zenimax from the same perspective as when I bought the game. I see a company with a huge disconnect between what it wants to do and what it is capable of actually achieving. Too many times, upcoming content and/or additions have been promoted only to be snatched away. I have zero trust in [snip] promises at this point. I believe it when I see it in-game. I imagine a conference room with the programming team talking about what they are doing and when it will be ready, and the sales team rolling their eyes, then coming up with a hyperbolic version of real content that they spin to us. The first such meeting took place before the game was released. Crafting has some value, but it is not close to what was promoted. It is mainly a grind, and becomes close to obsolete for end-game gear. The 'minimalist' UI is a joke. Without add-ons the UI would add a different kind of grind to playing the game. People have been asking for changes to both crafting and the UI since day one, with no substantial changes made. I'm sure [snip] is aware of this, they just don't care, not even enough to engage in discussion about it. Numerous changes have been made to skills and equipment since release. And it feels like a yo-yo. PVP is not happy, so changes are made. The changes screw up PVE. so more changes are made. Great players take advantage of game mechanics, bad player complain, and the advantage gets nuke nerfed. As much as both PVE and PVP need to be in the game, [snip]should have created a firewall system that would allow changes on one side from adversely affecting the other side. And while maybe the Crown [snip] was needed financially, but IMO everything is over-priced. It appeals to player vanity. At least [snip] has kept the promise the Crown [snip] will not be P2W, so far at least.

TL;DR [snip].....long on promises, short on delivery.

None of the above options apply to me; I canceled my sub already since there's no new content. I was a beta tester who preordered and subbed from the beginning with no lapse until the game went B2P. But I saw no point in continuing it without DLC.

While I don't like the recent crown store shenanigans and lack of responsiveness either, I take it much less personally and don't get as enraged about it now that I no longer carry a subscription. Some of you might feel better if you tried that too. You can always pick the sub back up when you feel it provides value or when you feel more valued, whatever your priorities are.

Yes, I feel that I am valued as a subscriber because of the XP boost, gold boost and Crown Allowance.

If you don't feel like you are getting enough value from your subscription, stop subscribing.

The question really doesn't make a whole lot of sense. It's like asking if I feel valued as a customer of my cable/internet provider. I don't care if they value me as a customer or not. I just care that they give me what I pay them for. If they didn't, I'd be looking for another provider.

You have the option of playing the game without subscribing to it. Whether or not ZOS values you as a subscriber is of little importance. The question you should be asking is, do I feel like what I'm getting for my subscription dollars is worth paying the price I'm being charged for it? A logical consumer that concludes they are not getting enough value for their subscription dollars will cancel their subscription.

Those of us who have payed for this game all along I feel have reason to be cranky when we're now told, "Hey guys we're using your money to fund our console release which is getting pretty much ALL of our attention so there's going to pretty much be NOTHING of note new for you until well AFTER that." Because I think we all know ZOS is going to want to take a break and give the console crowd time to play through all the existing content before bothering to release all the zones and content they've been teasing us with for months. It also appears that they are SO focused on this that they can't even be bothered to do the development work necessary to put the NEW cosmetic items we desperately desire in the crown shop so instead we're treated to retreads of existing NPC wear for the most part and a few reskins. Yeah, not feeling so appreciated.

I'm of the thought that the transition was decided AFTER quake con 2014. Likely August-September Is when the shift occurred.

I am primarily a PVPer. In my opinion, ZOS values players like me less than it does the dust that has collected on the design documents for all of the new content they have refused to release during the past year.

I don't really get the concept of being "valued as a customer". Is Zenimax going to personally shake my hand and buy me a beer later?

Some questions I can answer:

Do I feel like subscribing is worth it? No, I do not. The only reason I'm still subscribed is I keep forgetting to get around to canceling it. The monthly crowns aren't that great, nothing in the crown store has really interested me that much (aside from the Imperial Edition), and the +10% bonuses are all around mediocre. The one thing that is of any interest to me is the PTS, though I'm unsure if that's limited to subscribers or not. The only other things I bought from the crown store are some pets and the blacksmith costume, mainly because "meh, I have these crowns, might as well spend them".

Do I feel like Zenimax listens to and communicates with their customers? Yes, I do. Not all the time, and not perfectly, but a lot more than some other developers I've seen.

Do I feel like Zenimax is good at giving us what we want, or is entirely competent? Sadly, no. The game is very unstable at the moment and there is still tons of promised or cut content floating around out there.

Does Zenimax respect us? Questionable. The whole in-game message thing is a slap in the face. Please, never flash a giant message in the center of the screen practically demanding that I buy your product. Never do that again. But at least they haven't talked ill about us like some less reputable developers have done to their fans.

I was a long-term subscriber to LotRO.

I came here because it became apparent that no matter how much feedback LotRO got regarding certain aspects of the game they were going to ignore it. They had their plan, and what the customer (the bill payer) wanted was of no concern to them.

Now it seems LotRO has finally started to see the hit to the bottom line of not listening to customer. LI's are getting a revamp and will become the "weapon that levels with you" that they were always touted as being. If LotRO start to listen to the customers in other areas of the game (no longer gating content behind Big Battles for example) I may well be induced to go back and have another look.

And that will mean no more sub for ESO.

I do think that ZoS listens to feedback. Honestly, I do.

I just think they do a poor job implementing changes based on feedback.

But the bigger issues are no content since Craglorn (and no one really liked Craglorn anyways), and lag getting worse with every patch.

They have to be aware that they made some mistake in the 1.4 patch because that's when the PvP lag got really bad. They need to figure out what they did.

The 1.6 patch introduce lag in Group Dungeons. They need to figure out what they did.

Honestly, I'd forgo new content for 6 months if they'd just focus solely on FIXING LAG. Like... fix the game then add new stuff. But that doesn't seem to be a priority anymore as the cash shop is the new revenue model.

In a nutshell, my issue is and has always been that ZOS figuratively continues to say: "read my lips, no new taxes"... and then proceeds to raise them. The list of things they have reversed, changed their position on, or failed to meet expectations is lengthy. I do enjoy the game though. And I try to keep that in perspective for myself to minimize the frustration.

I honestly wonder if the console release will get many new players. Those that were into ESO, most likely have the PC version and might now just move over. For them nothing will change I think, they either have content or they don't, depending on where they are on PC

Would you say that there are people waiting for a whole year who now buy ESO because its on consoles?

As far I can tell, ZOS can not rest after June, they must deliver the first big DLC until Autumn or players stop their subs.

Here's where I stand. Take it or leave it.

I find the perks of ESO Plus not in my wheel house. I don't want to level faster, I don't want more inspiration points (I've already maxed out my skills anyway), and I don't want want the increase on research exp (since again, I'm already mastered). The 10% on gold seems nice in theory, but you figure you find anywhere between 20 to 50 gold out in the game at a time in the VR zones. So that's 2 to 5 gold? Whatever.

I'm a slow player, I started at launch, and I'm finally at Reaper's March in Cadwell's Gold. So it took me about 13 months to beat the solo content of this game. I have a lot of achievements to hit still, but I'm not a big PvP player, and grouping in this game is a chore. I don't have 2 to 3 hours to play the game in one sitting to do a dungeon crawl. I wish I did, but it's something I can only do a few times a month, if at all.

So that leaves me to the Crown Store and points I earn there per month. The 1500 is cool, but after the guar I bought, and a thief costume pack, what else is there? I can get MORE mounts or a pet that follows me around and distracts me. Sure. I can buy less superior items than I can craft... But I'm a master crafter in all crafts. So there hasn't been much.

I don't plan to stop subscribing, because $15 isn't much, and I hope it will become valuable down the road. But we really need new content here. I don't care about the consoles. PC should not suffer for it. It should never even be mentioned to players that is a reason. That's a business plan decision. Not a customer retention motion at all.

But do I find it valuable? No. Not right now.

Well, due to a whole host of questionable ethical practices made during the past year and still currently being made, I don't really feel valued as much more than a talking paycheck for ZOS most of the time.

I know that's not the actual case, but it can certainly feel that way when I think of all the times that ZOS has been intentionally misleading toward its player base.

However, I don't honestly believe that subscribers NEED to feel as valued as they once were. In time, subs will no longer be the main bulk of the game's income, instead shifting to Crown store transactions and DLC purchases making up the largest portion of ESO's funding.

As such, I think that the current sub bonuses are fine. A few things could be added, to be sure, but for the "value" of the subscription, you are basically purchasing 1500 crowns per month and getting a small bonus in the form of xp / inspiration / gold boosts and free access to DLC.

Or you could just buy 1500 crowns w/out subscribing and get nothing else w/ it.

It's not like the past year where you could point to your subscription and say "My money is supporting the game". That won't be the case soon. Sub money will be a drop in the bucket compared to the REAL sales of DLC and Crown store transactions and if you DO continue to sub, nobody will care that you are doing so.

To everyone, you are not doing anything more than buying 1500 crowns per month, which is probably a lot LESS than many other players will be paying to support the game.

It's time for subscribers like myself to quit thinking we are the major contributors to supporting the game still, because those days are numbered.

This is an interesting analogy. Just guessing, but I doubt anyone feels valued by their cable provider, and most (everyone?) feels that expense is way out of scale compared to it's benefit. For many of us, if there were cable alternatives with the same service at a lower price, we would make the change without question. The problem is either there are no alternatives with equal service or just no alternatives. So it's quit watching TV or grin and bear it.

Which brings this analogy back to ESO. Even though I am dissatisfied with certain aspects of the game, it still offers me enough to keep me engaged and playing, at least until the next single player Elder Scroll is released. Then, all bets are off. And if this game hasn't made dramatic improvements when that next title lands, then there is not a snowballs chance in hell I'll log into this game.
