Launcher either doesn't load in or doesn't start the game

I've turned my antivirus off, repaired UserSettings, I'm using the selective startup option in system configuration and nothing has fixed this issue yet. I've played eso for about 30 minutes after the first launch and it didn't ever load again. It usually gets stuck on the "updating application list" screen or it actually loads in, but yet again the "play" button turns grey and nothing happens after i press it, nor does the "repair" button work, nothing happens after clicking on it. Can somebody help?

I was having issues with the launcher as well. I tried right clicking the desktop icon and running as administrator, it then worked fine. Might want to give that a shot if you haven't already.

That is one stubborn launcher you have there, @Dudemer. It sounds like reinstalling the launcher might help you. To do so, either delete the launcher folder, or, if you don't have a launcher folder, navigate to your installation folder and delete Bethesda.net_Launcher. After that, redownload the launcher from your account page: https://account.elderscrollsonline.com

Let us know if that gets you into the game!

I had the same issue, and I deleted the launcher folder and downloaded the client, and now it's stuck on updating. I closed my firewall and everything, and it can't be speed because I have 100 mb\sec upload and download.

UPD: I even deleted the game client and reinstall it again. Didn't help.

I was stubborn too because I didn't want to do the thing that solved my problem, talking about unchecking the services ran on startup. I wasn't sure whether it could affect my overall system performance or not, apparently it did nothing bad and let me play the game when nothing else happened. Thank you all for your replies.
