Ruze is a veteran of the PC Beta, lived through the year one drought, survived the buy-to-play conversion, and has stepped foot in the hells known as Craglorn. He mained a nightlbade when nightblades weren't good, and has never worn a robe. He converted from PC during the console betas, and hasn't regretted it a moment since.
He'd rank ESO:TU (in it's current state) a 4.8 out of 5, loving the game almost entirely.

You misunderstand what I said. I didn't say others get to ruin your fun what I said was keep it to yourself and don't feel entitled to an area or to think that as a roleplayer that you can spam up chat and then feel treaded on by some player who decides to stand in the same area and sing songs in chat....I don't agree the player should do that but I agree he has the same rights under the TOS and that has to be observed. But also make no mistake RP is good for any game but don't kid yourself that it would in ANY way keep this game up and running if the non-rp players left.

I agree and I am by no means saying that all or any RPers deserve to be harassed, I am simply stating things that need addressed for the overall of the game .

I mean, sure, that's the way you enjoy playing your game. And the way they enjoy playing it is in character, acting out scenes and quite literally creating content from thin air. In the end, the roleplayers will still be around when every other 'need content now' player has left.
As a roleplayer, I warn that the game world is ours. Every bit of lore, every extra animation and every bit of detail to weapons, armor, customization or personalization ... is intended for us.
One of the reasons I love ESO and ZOS is that the GM's and developers know that. Props to them.
I mean, I can ruin other players game time, too. I just prefer to respect them and their fun.
Not necessarily feasible. There's likely not a ton of overlap in the skillsets between the staff developing crown store stuff, and the staff developing new content. I mean, there is some overlap for sure, but I doubt new content is being slowed down because of a few people creating a few mount models or costumes for the crown store. Things like that are a drop in the bucket compared to the amount of models and other graphic pieces needed for new content, and most likely the thing that's slowing new content is the lack of developers with the skills to work out game mechanics, balance issues, script quests, etc. Those aren't the same skillset that a person working on the cosmetic items we see in the crown store would typically have.1. use more of the staff to push content and less for the crown store development for now.
Yup.2. Invest in a better server system as the current ones are either poorly maintained of very low quality. ( the lag spikes need to be fixed asap its a year in and the most common response I hear from most who report this is a response of it must be on your end. If you want players to come and stay this is a must.
I agree with your position that you shouldn't be able to purchase achievements, but I'm not sure if this warrants removing these specific achievements.3.The addition of crafting styles to the store warrants a removal of the achievements for obtaining them. (you NEVER sell achievements in the game nor do you add collection achievements that are only obtainable thru store purchases or gift codes i.e mounts/pets. It is great to sale them and I support the ability to buy them as long as its Vanity and awards NO achievement points or dyes.
I don't PVP, and any new PVP content would do nothing for me personally, but I agree with you on this. I think PVPers have gotten a bit of a raw deal in this respect, as there hasn't really been anything significantly new for them since launch.4.PVP- Well its time to add some content there as many of the long term players hang on to that to try to stay interested while new PVE content is released.
Even just a few small additions would give them some show of acknowledgment.
Hmmm, yes I guess, but to be honest it seems more and more to me that veteran ranks shouldn't be removed. Instead, just keep VR14 as the cap, and basically leave things as is.5. Release the intent for the removal of veteran ranks. We all know that a change is coming there although many to include myself don't believe its possible to set everyone to 50. Release the information so players know ahead of time if there gear will be scaled down or if there will be additional regular ranks added to this system. Many can remember the dismay and large player base that left during the champ system and the mistrust with the game after the issue. Lets try to avoid this for the fourth time.
What's the problem with scaling to the group leader? Loot would then be scaled to your level, or the level of the group leader, whichever is lower. Maybe I'm just not seeing what the exploit would be.6.DLC- Before this one gets outta hand lets go ahead and not mess this up. It was said that players will be able to go into the new areas with friends and guildies to allow for more time with friends. IT MUST SCALE DOWN TO THE LOWEST MEMBER OF THE GROUP!!!! If my v14 groups with my buddys lvl12 all loot should be lvl 12. It is one thing to be helpful with grouping but yet another to place built in exploits. Also as this is additional content it any instances run there that would award achievements should be to scale on what is now a Vet Dungeon.
Not really going to comment on this one, because I know nothing about any of the devs involved, so I can't make any judgment on what experience they may or may not have, and how qualified they may or may not be.7. Hire some game designers with a solid history of success with mmos, Not insulting anyone but the truth is some players get a little annoyed when there is major issues and every other ESO LIVE brings to light yet another fairly new (less than 10 years in development) dev that seems more unsure about what is really in the works. If you want this game to be the most it can be you WILL need to invest more in it.----see #2
I agree with the general thought of "stand by your work", but I disagree with forcing anyone to do Cadwell's Silver or Gold. I think any new DLC that moves the story forward should require you to complete the main story, but I don't think anyone should actually be forced to play through the story line of a different alliance if they don't want to. If people want to have faction loyalty and not do the quests of another alliance, they shouldn't be punished for it (well, aside from missing out on the associated XP, skill points, loot, achievements, etc). I'm doing all of the Cadwell's stuff, despite the fact that I've already done all of those quests multiple times pre-vet on various alts, but that's because I want to. I don't think people should ever be forced to do that in order to access new content.8.STAND BY YOUR WORK.....I have played this game since beta and have done cadwells quests multiple times. You made a game , A GOOD game and it should be played as intended. It is my belief that new DLC content and even craglorn should require completion of the cadwells quest line just as and ep cannot go to DC or AD areas until he/she completes the ep line. See the problem is players are going to cry about it takes to long and the after they skip it will cry about no content so either way your going to run into issues. Be proud of your work and put all of that hard work to the core.
Yeah, nothing to add to this point really.9.STOP THE NERF HAMMER...The classes are the best now they have ever been in regards to balance in PVE. Not perfect but they never will be. Time to leave it alone and stop using disgruntled PVP players opinions on class changes. If you truly feel that PVP changes need to be adjusted then make them changes that only get implemented in PVP.
Yeah, your first example sounds like you were trolling the RPers and generally being a ***.10. Keep the GMs in line. I myself have dealt with GM chats that favor rp rights or trolling issues as well as many other that I have spoken to. Well over 100 players for reference. Some are of course blatant violations and should be addressed but others seem to be GMs from the NWO trying to dictate game play.

Ok hold on I have to say my piece on this topic, The original poster is coming from a mmo player background, I am coming from an Elder Scrolls franchise player background and you are coming from a dungeons and dragons style player background. I have issues with a few things here, number one you said this gameworld is yours the roleplayer and is intended for you, No this game is actually intended and for us the true Elder Scrolls players first and foremost and anyone else that is coming from mmo backgrounds or d&d acting out style game play is just a small fraction apart of this game.. I like to say even if the mmo players and d&d players were non existent, this game would still continue on. The thing is none of the interactions I have are with people in game cus I leave my chat window closed cus I don't play with other people just me and the npcs and im in my glory in this amazing franchise without other people ruining it for me. The other issue I have is yes if the GMs are gonna start policing my game play cus it may interrupt mmo players way of playing or the d&d roleplayers im gonna have a huge damn problem with that, for one thing this is an open world online rpg and there is enough room for people to do as they please, and since I am gonna be playing this on my console and I know if I use the headset and I hear people randomly talking about whatever including acting all d&d and I happen to be in an area and I decide to talk and if it doesnt follow some policy cus I wasn't aware or even caring I was interrupting their play style and if get a gm contacting me telling me the third degree about how I am playing is causing issues, I wont stand for that, this is a franchise I have been apart of since Morrowind on the original xbox and I wont have any problems contacting Bethesda and etc to put in many complaints regarding how the GMs are being!!! Anyhow I will leave you and everyone else with this plenty of play space for everyone and them some, you cannot get a bigger game world than the Elder Scrolls, so there should be no issues like this at all and GM should be actually be spending there time with other stuff not policing in game community unless its threats and serious stuff like that....

I heard everything you said and gave insight about D&D roleplayers and how its evolved and that's fine, everyone has the freedom to play as they choose. and I especially couldn't agree more with that last part you wrote!!!ruze84b14_ESO wrote: »Argoniawind wrote: »ruze84b14_ESO wrote: »I was good up until the whole 'let me insult and ruin the enjoyment of roleplayers because I want to'.

Which is why at it's heart, at least since Morrowind, Elder Scrolls has seen such success on consoles. It's a truer, more honest experience to what Bethesda intended.
That is how I feel about it, anyhow.

Ok well I can only agree to disagree.....Spam=spam whether its chat or skills and that the overall point. The only point of the bullet.

So we seem to have hit a rp issue with this. As I stated before this list is over all points I see that need improvement. As for the role-players that don't like it all I can say is to bad. Your not special snowflakes and deserve not more right to spam chat as any player does to spam skills. Sorry that's the way it is. I don't justify intentional harassment but I also don't think just because your different you should get any different exemptions from the tos. Point is the TOS states as is any rude or offensive behavior and that's up to the person whats offensive to them.
Yeah, but the only reason you say you wouldn't count it as spam is because it isn't spam, and you're being a reasonable person rather than a *** intentionally harassing people in the game.ruze84b14_ESO wrote: »Then again, if it was multiple players talking to each other using the local chat function, well ...
