Rare Motifs in Crown Store - kinda like buying Gold?

So with rare motifs for sale in the crown store, isn't that kinda like selling gold? I know, gold can be easy to get in game, but one could drop $60 on motifs and sell them and pad their in game bank balance if they wanted. I'm not advocating this, of course.
I guess it can be looked at as a convenience time saver, but selling gold is sort of frowned upon, isn't it?

Divad Zarn✭✭✭Thing is that there are difference between motifs which you can get IN game and between those in crown, for example daedric motif in game requires maximized crafting skill in order to learn it, while crown store books require none of crafting lvl, thats the difference and i guess thats why its so high price on them.0 -

In order to use the Daedric Motif in the crown store, you still have to be able to craft VR1 level armor. I suppose if you can't it will sit in your inventory until you can. At least that's what is seemed to me when I bought that particular motif and went to use it. Fortunately, I could already craft VR1 armor. But the requirement was there in the tooltip.0 -
