Should Weapons and Shields be paintable ?

I just crafted voidstone great sword and nightwood shield and they are shiny indigo blue they look so absurd. We can dye our armors but not weapons and shields and its ruining my whole appearance and colorful weapons look so absurd

michael_bimson✭✭✭noI don't think that you should be able to paint your weapons (unless it is red with the blood of your foes) simply because of the aesthetic - I don't think it would look good. However I do think that you should be able to paint your shields and also add your preferred guild emblem to the front.1

As much as people want TES to be a dark gloomy gritty muffled earth toned series it's just not. Since there are weapons/armor made of refined gemstones that have appropriate strength for combat within this universe, it is a logical assumption that weapons/armor can be manipulated to any color. So neon blue, red, pink, etc glass weapons/armor could likely exist simply because green exists. Despite people's desires to imprint a strictly earth toned medeival art style (which isn't in line with the lore at all).Edited by BBSooner on April 15, 2015 3:07PM0 -
