Group Dungeon Bug "Your Veteran Rank Is Not High Enough" Help Ticket: 150413-002135

I am level 16 and tried to enter Banished Cells solo. I have not been grouped with anyone and I was not grouped trying to go in. I have logged out, switched zones and come back and I am still being denied access with the "Veteran Rank" error. Any work around for this?

Press "P" for the group tool. There is an option at the top for "normal" or "veteran". They look like little shields. It is set to Veteran. Set it to normal.

The game should be smart enough to know that a Level 16 character wants the normal version of the dungeon, not the veteran version. But the game is not that smart and you have to set it manually.

I don't have any way to change anything on mine. I guess I am missing it... I can't complete the Undaunted quest until this is fixed.

You have a veteran character,yes? This happened to me as well. Logout and login to your vet toon. Group with someone and and set your zone to normal then back to vet. Break group and log back into your lowbie. This should fix it.

So I found a very nice vet just now that wanted to try and help. They created the group and it said the vet was NOT the group leader. There were only two of us in the group. We left the group tried again with the same result. Tried this four times then their game crashed. After they got back online we tried one more time and this time it worked and I could travel to the dungeon and at least finish the initial Undaunted Quest in Vulkhel.

This bug REALLY needs to be fixed.....

This happened to me last week. What worked was:

- abandon any groups you are in
- group with people that are not veterans and can enter the dungeon
- enter the dungeon yourself. Upon entering the dungeon I got the message that it was reset to the group leaders level
- leave the group and dungeon
- I was then able then to re-enter the dungeon by myself
- I invited m friends to join and they were all able to enter bar one
- I exited and re-entered the dungeon and the last person was finally to join in as well

I believe this happened due to me grouping with a Vet that wanted to run a normal dungeon - somehow his group setting (he was a leader) remained attached to my char. I will never again group with a vet until I'm on veteran ranks :P

I haven't grouped one time with this character, well until today. I generally fly solo. This bug seems to be related to grouping yet I don't group.

@Zargorius has a good workaround for this! What can happen is that if you have grouped with another player who was of Veteran rank, it set your option to VR. To get it set back to normal, you can either try what Zargorius suggested, or group with a VR character and have them set the dungeon difficulty to "Normal" and it should resolve for you.

We are aware of this issue and our engineers are working on having it resolved. Thank you!

That's not a good workaround! That's horrible. Please fix. This has been going on for way too long.

Like how hard it is to make it so a non vet player can't set the dungeon to vet mode, that seems really easy. Or just give them the option to turn it on or off like vets have.

Yeah it took a while to find a vet. Then when they grouped it would not assign group lead to them or me so we couldn't do anything. Took a few tries then their game crashed. After they got back on we tried it one more time. I had to actually travel to the dungeon then leave before they could change it to normal mode and clear out the bug so I could finish the initial Undaunted quest...ugh.. Glad the vet was patient and wanted to hang with me to fix it.
