Crown Store should also accept Gold

I think that SOME Crown Store items should also be purchase-able with in-game gold.

I definitely want ZOS to make some $$$ off the Crown Store, but we should also have reasons to go accumulate in-game wealth and trade with each other as well.

I think whenever they add guild housing at some future date - that and the related upgrades should be purchase-able with in-game gold as well.

The motifs are already traded in 'the wild" today. Let me buy them with gold or crowns. Inspire other players to compete with your standard pricing.

Have some exclusive things that are "crowns only", like the Senche-Leopard. Trot it out for brief periods of time so we really want to buy it when you do.

...the gold farming has been fairly nailed down, no? So why not?

Feel free to chime in with your opinions on the "game economy" and "motivates me to play" stuff.

Because you can already buy motifs with in-game gold from other players. What you're asking would completely kill the motif selling economy immediately.

If the crown store started accepting gold then just delete any trading guild because that would kill the market. Why bother bidding on kiosks for a ton of gold to get a good spot if they are going to kill off the economy with the crown store.

This is just a dumb idea. How exactly would ZoS make any money if you could just use in game gold to buy the stuff....

I would imagine that there will be things to buy, turning it slowly into a B2W game, and they have to be very careful about it, or many will walk.

They will probably give with one hand and take with the other.

Crowns will be the main currency for buying, and if they bring in gold, as myself and many others are loaded, then its just another mechanic for people to use the Crown Store and reel in many that would not normally use crowns.

I would imagine if gold was implemented on Crown Store, that it would not be high end items, that would be reserved for Crowns only, so they get the good of both currencies.

I didn’t think it was a bad idea.

My thinking was along these lines:

1. I’ve been playing for a year, and have only found one rare motif. I check containers on all three of my toons to keep my provisioner stocked. The RNG gods hate me.
2. When I find motifs at guild traders, the prices have been silly.
3. The cash they want in Crowns also makes me blink, but hell, I might do it.
4. I play 3 toons. My crafting is mostly maxed, and I sell loot. So I have some cash set aside. It would be nice if ZOS would accept gold or crowns for things like motifs, because that would set sort of a market cap, and guild kiosks would likely have them for less. Win Win for me, the consumer. Sellers still get nice coin for their spares.

I can see the idea doesn’t seem to be flying, though. Oh well. Now I just have to decide.

Provisioning items are generally found in crates and barrels and sacks. You will rarely find motifs there. Motifs are usually found in furniture - wardrobes, desks, trunks, etc. Maybe you are looking in the wrong places?

Any ItemShop should have the Ingame "gold" and the realife "gold". Like in LOTR(One of the best IS out there).

No thanks. Crown store items already have versions buyable for gold - potions, soul gems, food, repair kits, motifs. All this can be bought in game and enables you to ignore the store. Do not start having zos price fix stuff.
