Steam Crowns for Non-Steam Client?

I have $10 left over in my steam wallet from a purchase I made today. I'd like to buy some crowns with it, but I want to make sure It will work. From what I understand, you input the code from the steam CD key into your ESO account page in order to get the crowns. Does this work if I don't have the steam version of the game?

Hi @SupaBeardyMan ,

If you do not have the Steam version of ESO:TU you are unable to purchase crowns or other entitlements for ESO through Steam. You can still purchase them from our website through your account, but not using Steam.

If i have a steam and non-steam versions of ESO with separate accounts, can i buy crowns in steam and redeem them on non-steam account?

Hi @LameoveR !

No, you will only be able to redeem Steam-purchased crowns on a Steam account, and ESO Store purchased crowns on a non-steam account. They are currently not interchangeable.
