If/when the PvP part of the Justice System is released, do you believe that players should be pickpocketed?

    I think Yes, but only if the player being pickpocketed is flagged as Enforcer and not AFK. Why? Because then, Outlaws won't have a field day pickpocketing AFK people, and also, this will allow people who don't want to participate in Justice System PvP to not be pickpocketed.

    If the player is flagged for PvP - then yes, as they're consenting to Player-vs-Player actions. As to being AFK- it's your own damn fault if you're not paying attention, and flagged for PvP.
    TL;DR - If you got this far without reading the entire post you're either too lazy or suck at reading comprehension and probably don't belong in a public forum anyway. Just move along, you wouldn't understand.

    Not only no, but HELLSNO. Never. Not in a million years.

    Seriously, if Zenimax wants to sign their own death warrant for this game, they'd listen to this idiotic suggestion.
    I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
    1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
    2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
    3) Difficulty slider.
    4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
    Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.

    I would be fine with pick pocketing other players as long as what your stealing is not actually from their inventory, but system generated. You shouldn't be able to abuse other players in any area.

    As I fervently hope that PvP is never added to the Justice System, the answer for me is no. PvE penalties for what are PvE crimes in PvE areas, that's my wish for the Justice System, not some back door way of introducing open world PvP.

    As I said in my own response- those flagged for PvP would be fair game, as they've consented to do so. I do agree with you, however, that it should not be used as some "back door" to facilitate open-world PvP. That's what Cyrodil was designed for- and if others want "open world PvP" there's a whole area dedicated to just that.

    I think ZOS figured out that there are too many anti-pvp types in the game to add any kind of PvP to the justice system. The only way it would work is if they created a new map and only that map had the PvP portion of the justice system added. There would be a lot of rage, but that could work. However, it wouldn't go over well if it was added to the entire game.

    umm **** no why would i wanna have the 2k gold i made from a craft magically vanish from my bag because some [snip] grabbed it from me while i was depositing it. or have my legendary sword magically vanish off my back. seriously not fun in the least it'll become elder nudes online in a week because everyone jacking everyones stuff wouldnt have enough law keepers to make this functional

    This will be a rather unpopular idea. There are plenty of ways to make money without stealing stuff from other players. Why would you even want to do that?

    As someone suggested, why not use system generated stuff and not actual stuff the player has.

    And besides, what better way to test whether or not you're a skilled criminal then to test your luck against fellow players?

    This isn't at all about getting gold or the "sword" of another player. I believe that no MMO since Ultima allowed player looting and while I disagree with it, I understand why the change came. If ESO would allow us to steal from others, then this would mostly be about the challenge and a generated item from said player.

    Everyone would have a gap, I don't know maybe 10k gold, 5 rare crafting mats, 1 pink item a day ... If you however get something is totally random and depends on how good your thieving skills are and how bad those of the target. I think its a bit shocking that players don't even see that possibility, but are once again afraid to lose something.

    No offence to anyone, but I wish we would get the MMO communities back where players didn't care that much about themselves, but more about what was good for the game and the community.

    Sorry...but I don't see this move as being good for the community. I see a can of worms best left unopened. If all you want is a real challenge to test your skill, pick the pocket of a guard.

    If I seem selfish to you, that's because I am voicing my opinion... And my opinion is selfish because that's the nature of opinions. That is no less selfish than you voicing yours.

    I think there are better ways to test your skill than this suggestion. If it was randomly generated loot and the person getting their pockets picked lost nothing that would hardly be immersive... And then there is the question about witnessing the crime.

    Would the person getting robbed have to chase the criminal down? Or will other players become active witnesses? If so... Would that be only for crimes committed against them?

    what does AFK stand for?
    Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
    Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
    Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
    Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

    There was no option for "Yes, but only if player IS marked as AFK." That would teach those AFKer's to leech valuable server resources!
