First of all, I recognize the purpose and use of Fear in the game and I support its existence.
Second, this is more of an issue with how the mechanic functions rather than the ability itself and it has to do with bugs that seem to make it even more frustrating to play against.
In the past day, I've been feared through the map twice and gotten jumped to the Cyrodiil wayshrine. This is ridiculous. How many fights get lost because you feared a portion of their force all the way back to spawn (and no, it wasn't your skill)? This seriously needs to be fixed.
The other issue I face with Fear is that it CONSISTENTLY takes several seconds to stun break. I know it is intended to provide counterplay to the ability to block constantly, but I am a Sorcerer and only block when it is important (i.e. NOT all the time). I feel as though those who don't block are victimized worse than those that do. This feeling, however, would be far less oppressive if I could actually break the CC.
If I have full stamina, getting feared should not be a free pass for the enemy to beat the living *** out of me. If you get CC'd by fear, you should be able to break it immediately like every other CC, especially when it is unblockable.
As an aside, can you even dodgeroll this ability or is there not enough of an animation for that to even be feasible?
TL;DR (for those illiterate folks) Fear has been making people fall through the map and get ported to spawn. It is also consistently difficult to break immediately, even with full stamina and spamming stun break.
