Deleted Undaunted letter

If I accidentally deleted the undaunted invite letter on my VR12 is there a way to start the quests, or do I have to go through customer service?

Thanks

Happened to me, had to go through customer service. They were great, though!

why would you have to call customer service for a ingame invite from an NPC?

It's the invitation from the Undaunted NPC guild that you receive as an attachment to an in-game mail when your character reaches level 45. If you delete it accidentally, you'd need to get CS to send a replacement. Without it you can't do daily Undaunted dungeon pledges.

Are you sure, or did it just vanish when you first talked to the folks at the Undaunted enclave? Because that's how it's supposed to work: the invitation lets you talk to them in order to enable you to start taking the daily pledges, and it vanishes when you first talk to them about the pledges.

I'm pretty sure they fixed it so that if you do accidentally delete the invite, you can still get the quest directly from the Enclave. Or at least, that was something they intended to implement.

Pretty sure it's been like this since day 1. However, you need to have done the quest where you get initiated into Undaunted first IIRC. I had a friend who deleted his the first day and went there as a non undaunted member, didn't work, took him to daggerfall to get the initial quest and then he could get it from the enclave!

You don't need the letter, just go to the daily area.

When I go to enclave in Deshaan, there are no quests. I am rank 2 undaunted. I just signed back on to the account after quitting last summer, so I only now got the letter, which I must have deleted.

You are an EP member, right? (Just checking)

If the letter isn't still in your mail, attached to the message (that's where I found mine when I thought I'd deleted it :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: ), and isn't in your inventory, and you can't get the quest directly from Maj al-Ragath, then I think Customer Support is your only remaining option.

If you don't go in the invitation, they will continue to send letters. I had 3 before I joined the undaunted,
    ٩(͡๏̯͡๏)۶
"I am a nightblade. Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

That sounds unlikely; do you perhaps just have three characters over Lvl 45?

No, I only have 1 V14 and no alts. I got my 1st undaunted invitation before I did my 1st dungeons. I did not apply to the guild and did spindleclutch. After that I got another invitation and a 2nd letter. And later on a 3rd (probably after another dungeon)

Maybe next time don't delete quest items in your inventory?

The Devs didn't put a workaround in place for such idiocy. It's kind of like how they had to dumb it down so that important NPCs were unkillable in Oblivion and Skyrim, so that console idiots wouldn't uniwittingly bork the main quest.

In Morrowind, you just got a message that said essentially "gg, your game is ruined lol"

The "workaround" would be the item appearing directly in the QUEST items tab in the inventory; there, it's very unlikely that it gets deleted.

Not sure why you call others "idiots" for deleting the invitation. I deleted all except for 1 or 2 (7/8 characters got one) because they took up inventory space and I knew anyways to not make use of them for a long time.

No one should tell us to have 1 inventory slot less from the moment you hit level 45; some of us, such as myself, may want to run dungeons much later and it's annoying to carry that invitation around all the time.
It's 1 annoying slot in the inventory per character, and even up to 8 when you put them all in the bank.

But both I and pppontus are pretty sure they did do exactly that, because you should still be able to get the quest from the Enclave directly.

Just to clarify, you can begin the Enclave quests without the invitation, but only if you've already completed the quest "One of the Undaunted." After that's completed, you can go to the Enclave outside your alliance's capital and begin the daily quests.

Just to say thanks GinoBruno and to verify.

I got "One of the Undaunted" quest and went to Fungal Grotto. As soon as I neared the entrance the quest clicked forward telling me to return to Davon's Watch, and I completed the quest. I went back to Deshaan and Maj al-Ragath at the enclave had the pledge quest available.

    Thanks all...
