Hey Guys! So, I purchased ESO Online the other day and it has to be one of the best MMO Game I have ever played, The game has been fantastic but there is one downfall and that is the terrible FPS, first to give you and idea of the problem I will give you my hardware information.

CPU : A8 6660k Quad Over Clocked GPU : Toxic R9 280x 3gb RAM : 8gb

This should deffos run on Ultra Settings,

So explain why the FPS drops below 30 in city's and even some times in the wild where there arnt many Entities it is below 60 FPS.

I have also heard the game is very well optimised. So why does it lag in the city, Shouldn't it be a solid 60?

I'm not too bothered, just wondering why it's not suiting the needs for my hardware,

***, This post probs doesn't make sense, But I'm in the iPad on the train and there's a guy who smells of *** and sweat across from me, send help. Its late.

There is a FPS bug out and about now that plagues a friend of mine. He's in Michigan and when he gets the same issue as you, he has to re-log to clear the issue. It could be a bad connection from the wayshrine teleport that causes this as that's when he see's it, or when entering a dungeon. Until @ZOS can figure out where the problem is, re-logging is your best bet. If you always have trouble with big cities, try porting to the wayshrine closes to that city but not within it. Then ride there with your horse and see if you have the same problem.

    Worth a shot.

Good luck. Double check your video card drivers to make sure they are up to date as well. Anything helps. If I didn't have a Geforce with a program that monitors for new drivers and lets me know when they are available I'd never update mine.... DOH!

FYI, this is a long standing issue in certain cities and busy regions. Elden Root is the worst for me, but Daggerfall city, Wayrest, Vulkhel Guard, and Mournhold can also have low FPS and/or "Stutter", i.e. the game video becomes jerky and freezes for a second or two at a time. This happens especially when moving around fast (e.g. on a horse), and for a few minutes just after loading in or zoning in. I'm guessing this is a combination of the server being busy with processing a lot of different objects moving around (lots of NPCs in cities, as well as players), and network performance. I have a fairly low-end internet connection for a MMO this graphically intense (6Mbps DSL), so that's likely the main issue for me. Even people with 100 Mbps links have complained of this issue though.

I'd suggest just taking it easy in cities, and wait a bit for the loading to complete after you zone/load in.
