Im not denying you kicked some serious ass or that you dont know your stuff but i find it pretty sad playsytle, bolting at the first sign of danger, shield spamming, addons telling you when to do actions and animation canceling like a madman(which i despise even tho and sadly its a valid bug i mean mechanic), this gameplay seems to lack any sort of challenge other then having to hit keys at a fast rate.
No hate intended just my opinion. I also remember you killing my poor NB in a mere instant the other day, hopefully i meet you out in cyrodiil again and likely get my ass kicked but mayb i will learn something fighting one of the toughest sorcs out there.

Animation canceling is something that everyone can use and benefit from.. Theres no reason to despise it when you can be doing it and its one of the most simplest mechanics to learn and figure out. This has been apart of almost every mmo i have played. I never understood how people can be mad about things they could be taking advantage of also. Am i wrong?

No you are not wrong i just dont like the fact being able to hit keys at the fastest rate grants you a better chance, ofc having fast response times is important to react to situations but animation canceling takes it to a new level where it can be possible to macro a rotation to land alot of attacks in a much smaller timescale then if someone was to hit them 1 by 1 even if that player had fast response times, the skill in pvp from my point of view shouldn't be determined by hitting keys the fastest.

I doubt it, just seems to me Teargrants has mastered the art of animation canceling, that doesnt take away from the fact using macros to animation cancel would grant a huge advantage.

I don't use macros, there's no reason to. Animation cancelling is such a basic mechanic you do it w/o thinking. Honestly, trying to macro anything would just hurt you more than help.

And I have no idea why people think I rely on my addons to "tell me when to do something". The addons display things like status effects/potion cooldowns/ect among other things, but I don't actually look at any of that 95% of the time. I focus on the actual players in front of me and judge from their keyframes what they're doing, and hence how to react.

The Cloud Combat notifications become useful once the server starts lagging or I'm in a large keep fight and effects aren't rendering properly. Also when my shield display on the health bar bugs out and stays at full permanently - Combat Cloud gives me different colors for absorbed dmg vs non absorbed, so I can tell instantly if the shield is actually up or not (hard to see the life bar through the shield overlay).

CLS is necessary to compare performance between my different builds which I've been constantly tweaking. And Recount is there to give a quick overview of skill vs skill.

well having scrolling text telling you when to do EVERYTHING apart from pick your nose is almost marcos imo. might as well go the whole hog. why have an addon shouting CLEANSE , BLOCK, POTION TIME, re-spam SHIELD TIME.. and think your doing anything intuitive by simply pressing the buttons your told to??

wheres the skill or fun in that. its like in vanilla wow being a dps and knowing when you were in danger of pulling agro from the tank was a skill... then out came the addon that shouted at you to STOP DPS. when you were hitting the top of the agro list..

after that where was the skill? unless you consider googling curse.com and installing the addon then doing what your told as skill.

i can't be the only one who's getting bored of these ego massaging video's where all the "leet" pvp ers have a big circle jerk while running every addon known to man telling them what to...

show me a video where someone does really good without all the addons and i,ll be immpressed and doff my cap to them no problem.. otherwise i find it lame as anything.

which MMO's were they exactly? i played every AAA MMO since SWG and dont remember animation cancelling being a thing.. most had ability cooldowns which negates being able to spam anything much. it was usually about rotations rather than spamming light/heavy attacks between one or 2 skills..

You're equivocating addons to display UI information with macros automating input...as if ppl who use addons are incapable of performing actions through use of their own judgement?
    UHMNt86.png
Go ahead if you don't believe ppl who tell you otherwise, go install the addons, use them, come back and tell us all how it removes skill from the game. Skill is about taking information in and being able to decide and perform the proper course of action, the vanilla UI does all it can to deny basic information - dumbing things down if anything.

basic information doesnt include huge text telling you important functions where timing them well is critical to the outcome. like huge writing telling you your last nuke was REFLECTED so you can BLOCK NOW before it gets back to you.

now in the heat of a battle with multiple people running about noticing that can be difficult,, hence being good at it is a skill.. but when your addon tells you that and negates the need for such skills ,,, its no longer your skill that was the deciding factor.

to me addons dumb the game down by removing the need for you to notice things as much, noticing stuff is much EASIER IF LARGE TEXT SCROLLS DOWN YOU SCREEN .. but ofc course none of you actuallyy read that that and react eh,,, its all "leet" skills

i,ll use an analogy, i am a DJ i learned my trade playing vinyl on old school 1210's mixing was an art , there was a high degree of skill involved.

nowadays you get mp3 decks where you just hit a sync button and it beat matches the tunes perfectly.. thus removing error and the need to learn the skill of doing it on your own.

so now you get lots of guys who think they are gods gift cranking out cheesy EDM (like the tunes in your video)
who couldn't mix two tunes by hand if their life depended on it.

This is a bug from ggframes since 1.6 - I switched back to FTC player/target frames since I found out. FTC player frames bug too but as soon as you get damaged, they go back to normal so not a big deal.

I see a lot of keepwall hugging and sub-v14 duels and kills but overall, not bad.

What I don't get is the 17k frag crit hits. From what I understand, you run a high recovery build and thats fine. I also understand max frag damage, which consists of a frag insta proc, pre-Major sorcery and pre-Might of the guild. But that only brings me up close to 11-12k, leaving a crit hitting maybe for 14-15k. The only additive i could really consider to see this kind of damage would be a well-timed, marital art-set 5-piece 10% bonus damage on top of all that.

....but you run a regen build with heavy armor. That leaves me to think you were one of the few that abused the CP system on PTS and you have several hunded CPs to use on live. I could be very wrong, but if I'm right, then you have a distinct advantage against your enemy.

I am a sorcerer as well since early beta and i drop 20k damage instantly with 5 attacks almost hitting simultaneously. If you dont block, its gonna hurt. This takes time to charge up, but when I see the reflect on your bar with heavy armor and sword and board regen, and you are hitting for 17k on a frag, Im beginning to wonder...

This is a bug from ggframes since 1.6 - I switched back to FTC player/target frames since I found out. FTC player frames bug too but as soon as you get damaged, they go back to normal so not a big deal.

    Great video.

Yeah, tried GGFrames and got insta killed. See 3 attacks, 2 of them snipes and didn't get any notification of health loss until dead.

As for the flying text; I still have to look as it will say "Cleanse Now" but I may already have been cleansed. And I think if I reflect something back, the addon stil catches what it was or something. Similar to how shields can not be cast because I did a weapon swap too much, but it will show my shield as activated.

Nope, only have 127 CP atm.

It's just about stacking spell dmg + magicka. I use drink instead of food, but my build isn't a "regen build", I go for a balance between all 3 (regen/magicka/spell dmg). If I was just going for a regen build, I'd have around 3k regen. Also, I'm often running 5 light / 2 heavy instead of my 5 heavy / 2 light you're thinking about.
