Forget Dueling. Try Guild "FFD" for more fun & challenge

"Friendly Fire Delving" was born out of the joking with another guild mate about getting his AD toon and hunting me down in Cyrodiil. Well, that turned into three of us, different alliances, meeting at a delv in Cyrodiil and run it like a group.
Challenge 1: We ran in Thornblade. No empty campaigns for us! So getting there was a challenge for at least one or two of us travelling enemy territory just to meet up.
Challenge 2: Killing your friends in "old school" dueling is easy. NOT killing your mates, not so easy! We gave up on saying "Sorry" in chat after 10 minutes. Lol! There was no hack & slash or spam spells and AoE's. We had to actually synchronize our attacks, your swing, your aim, etc and watch bosses and mobs. If your mate stepped in front of your bow, they got shot, if you get too close to whirring blades, you get cut. By end of 2nd delv we were working together as a team in a whole new way! It felt more real, immersive and satisfying in so many ways
Challenge 3: Healing, Res, forget it! :).. Being unable to depend on others, your are responsible for your own stats AND look out for others who might be in trouble w/ health, which means drawing mob off, take a chance of hitting your mate by attacking, etc. You die? Up side, your mates get AP. LOL! Down side~ it's wayshrine time and a long trip back. (See Challenge 1).
Challenge 4: Other players, any alliance. They may or may not attack you or your group. On our first run, we were fighting a mob, then I noticed an EP player sitting up on a rock watching us. In chat he said,"Interesting friends you have there.." I explained and he said, "So, I shouldn't kill them is that what your saying?". I laughed so hard! When I told my mates they almost got attacked, My AD said,"That might have been fun too". Enough said.
Challenge 5: So now you have finished it together, still alive, and time to go to the next one. It should be made into a joke;~ An AD,DC & EP walked into a pub....hehe. In sneak, you have to stay close together or you disappear from your mates and get lost from one another.( Remember, no group tools). Traversing around keeps, gangs, randoms, battles, and all else that makes Cyrodill awesome is now 3x harder. Just going to next dungeon was a quest in it's self!

In summary, we all agreed that was the most fun we have had in a long time. ( No offense Zos!! We love ESO!). We are now going to make it a guild event and I am also going to extend invites to our "sister" guilds that we share cross members and cross alliance with.
So, if you see a AD, DC & EP fighting a mob together, or running across a vale wearing the same tabards, you will know that no, it wasn't the skooma.
"May Your Swords Stay Sharp & Your Arrows Fly True!!
Huzzah!!
{Side Note*} Happy Anniversary ESO!! And I would like to say Happy Anniversary All~Star Crafter EP Guild, est. 04/02/2014. It's been a great year and a great guild!! Huzzah to you all!!! Wench~

I have to admit - that sounds like a fantastic way to use inherent limitations of the system to create greater fun. Well done, and I would look forward to joining you someday if you manage to make this something regular...

Well done, well done. I always thought it would be funny for the devs to "turn on" friendly fire, just for a day. How the masses would cry. But you have found a wonderful way to expand the fun by utilizing the mechanics of the game. Great job.

As one of the three who took part in this, I must say it was indeed one of the most challenging and fun things I've done lately in ESO lol. It was very satisfying to take down a mob together but also very hard not to be able to heal or resurrect each other. I look forward to doing it again. It's great practice for improving your aim and staying focused

I think the idea of friendly fire is just what this game needs. It would definitely make pvp a lot more challenging and require much better strategies.

Friendly fire in Cyrodiil would have been one crazy April fools joke from ZOS.

As the third person who was on for these runs with @wenchmore420b14_ESO and @Zahirah it was a total blast to do and would gladly run again with anyone.

It meant we had to think before every move, coordinate our attacks, draw mobs away from each other so we wouldn't end up hurting our friends. We had to watch the health of what we where attacking because if it died while someone was preparing to attack, guess who it targeted next? Yep, one of our friendly-foes. I think I accidentally teleport-striked my guildies on occasion when I didn't check the health of the targeted mob fast enough. Not to mention bows, that will change their targets if the first target dies while drawing a heavy attack or snipe.

That is the kind of challenges I love to solve in this game, and I for one will be doing this more with anyone who is game.
