I have no intention of doing their recruiting for them. Just pay attention to guild zone chat invite spam when they start talking about multiple branches...

Guys, I'd like to clarify something here if I may with regards to Traders (EU).

    So,
    Scenario 1:
A friend runs a guild I'm in and I'm a co-manager. He bids on a particular trader in a certain city. Let's say he bids 100k.
Now, come Tuesday morning, we don't get it because someone else bid 101k. Fair enough. We now have no trader.

    Scenario 2:
Again, friend bids on particular trader for 100k. I ALSO put a bid on another trader for the group of 50k (out of the way type) thinking of a backup. We loose the main trader we wanted due to a bid of 101k but we DO win the other trader with our 50k bid. I assume this one now becomes our trader and we keep the 100k for the trader we didn't win.

    Scenario 3:
We make 2 successful bids on each of the traders and technically win both of them.

What happens in scenario 2 and 3?
Can you make backup bids on other traders?
Do you get your gold refunded?

@P3ZZL3 A guild can only have one active bid, so scenario 2 and 3 don't exist I'm afraid.
Yes, you gold is refunded if you don't win the trader.

I have to disagree. As a "consumer" I don't want to run into traders that have some fishing bait and a couple armors from sets
Completely agree, this stupid 'economy' is a total PITA to buy in, I wish people would stop posting requests to try to fix a broken and un-fixable system and ZOS simply admit it's a failure, the numerous spurious arguments against an AH are simply shouted by those with a vested interest in fragmenting the marketplace, it's pathetic.
This is incorrect. We (I) do not want an auction house.

It would allow individual players the ability to control the market and fix prices.

That kinda seems a little stupid then. Surely if you were to be able to place 2 bids, it gives you more chance to actually get a Trader? I've seen a fair few "empty" traders and it does make you wonder.

It is a little stupid and if guilds could have a backup bid I think a lot of these types of threads would go away. Having more guild traders scattered all over the place does absolutely nothing to fix the problem, since 9 fully stocked guilds would still be putting their one blind bid of over a million gold on the same trader while 1 guild with nothing in its store bids 1,000 on the trader next to it and wins.
