    Whether you requested it or not, there were definitely more than 15 EP besieging Ash last night when the ol' Thornblade lag hit.

    There weren't that many DC defenders present when the outer fell and I stayed outside in a futile attempt to pick people off (hard to do with 3-5 second skill delay), but I heard a meteor storm after the inner postern fell and wasn't surprised when EP poured out a little while later.
    Unsubbed and no longer playing, but still checking the Alliance War forum for the lulz.

    its probably because the guild who shall not be named is next to you all the time, lol. things were bad last night, i dont think my ping went below 200 for most the night and was spiking like crazy all night. before the guild who shall not be named showed up atleast ping would normalize back down to 60-70. this delay in abilities is what made me change campaignes to chill to begin with, and looks like i will have to change again because of these guys breaking the server. ill probably go back to thorn, it probably doesnt lag like it used too and is the new chillrend now.

    The group everyone blame for lagging up the server recently switched yesterday (march 31th). I have played regulary on Chillrend for the past 2weeks and let me tell you that my ping has gone all the way up to 3-4k several times when a certain group of AD or a certain group of DC would be fighting around keeps. I'm not blaming them. It is the fact that all three factions were pop locked with at least 40 players in the same area using aoe spells. Go back to Thornblade if you want, the same thing will happen there unless one or more of the following solutions happen :

    - They lower the population caps, again (even if I would not like it);
    - They find a way to improve performances during primetime;
    - They find other ways to spread out people even more.

    Note : spreading out people won't change much because in the end, all it takes is a full raid of experienced players to use alot of aoe abilities against another group to overload the server when all factions are max pop.

    And thanks to that guild for essentially ruining PvP in ESO.

    Checked it out after my time in TB tonight amounted to ride to Chalman. Enter outer breech. breech inner. Watch as a bunch of EP finally decide to show up and run in to the breech unscathed. Crash. Log back in to us all dead. Only managed to throw out a handfull of heals the entire time.

    Went and checked out a couple other servers. Had would need more than just a small group to go. Had a lot of fun in the other servers, as well; so will see what sticks. Even getting my ass whipped by the emporer in Had was better than the TB lag. Stayed up later than I wanted because I was actually having fun.

    We had 12 or 16 bro, can't remember exactly. Which is why we ran to a cave instead of attempting to go further. Futile run back is futile.

    The lag created at Alessia saved Ash and our emperorship today. We were able to res at Ash because DC couldn't use siege and then proceeded to wipe them. So, thank you for that. Turned the entire day around for us.

    ive played on chill for the past 2 months, and not once has it lagged as bad as it did as last night when that "mysterious lag-ball group of 30 EP came over". chill was legit a nice stable server to play on before those guys joined it, if they didnt intentionally want to lag people out why do they run around with a full max group of people rolling groups that are 1/4 their own size, saying "were looking for the top talent", hahahahah

    FPS drops happen when u are fighting in an area with alot of people and alot of particles.

    Latency drops happen no matter where you are in Cyrodiil. Different causes :

    - Your internet service provider
    - Campaign is full (3 faction max pop or very close to be)
    - 20+ players spamming aoes (usually when they flip flags inside keeps)

    So when you say that we were experiencing a huge latency at Alessia even tho almost no AD were present, you're obviously trying to say that EP only was the root of the problem, as always. The thing is, if AD was fighting at Ash with DC at the same time we were pushing flags at Alessia, that may have overloaded the server right there.

    Also, the way the server handles the overload, it will sent packets to random clients. In other words, some people may get higher pings than other depending of how the server handles it. This is why during high latency, some people are able to send &/or receive data from the server when other people are stuck with 10-20k ping and aren't able to do anything. Nothing you can do about it.

    This is also why some people complained here that when we experiment latency issues, even if you are on the other side of your faction's gates, you can experiment latency there aswell. Because a huge fight was going on somewhere on the map.

    So when you say that there was almost no AD at Alessia but it still lagged, the root of the problem was not necessary EP causing the lag at Alessia by fighting npcs, but the overall bandwith getting transfered in the whole map.

    I would give ten bucks to someone that could record their TS.

    Didn't bothered to read that huge wall of text. All I know is that there wasn't another big fight on the map, as far as I know Alacrity wasn't fighting at Ash (Mano already said the lag made Ash unflag, allowing them to rez there). Someone from Ala correct me if I'm wrong please.
    Im not spoutting the usual lagsploiting rage here. I dont think you guys do it on purpose, I just think you don't care as long as you are winning.

    The only reason why they moved to Chillrend was to avoid the long queues of Thornblade and also because there was already competition well established to fight with.

    So when you say that we were experiencing a huge latency at Alessia even tho almost no AD were present, you're obviously trying to say that EP only was the root of the problem, as always. The thing is, if AD was fighting at Ash with DC at the same time we were pushing flags at Alessia, that may have overloaded the server right there.

    Also, the way the server handles the overload, it will sent packets to random clients. In other words, some people may get higher pings than other depending of how the server handles it. This is why during high latency, some people are able to send &/or receive data from the server when other people are stuck with 10-20k ping and aren't able to do anything. Nothing you can do about it.

    This is also why some people complained here that when we experiment latency issues, even if you are on the other side of your faction's gates, you can experiment latency there aswell. Because a huge fight was going on somewhere on the map.

    So when you say that there was almost no AD at Alessia but it still lagged, the root of the problem was not necessary EP causing the lag at Alessia by fighting npcs, but the overall bandwith getting transfered in the whole map.

    Didn't bothered to read that huge wall of text. All I know is that there wasn't another big fight on the map, as far as I know Alacrity wasn't fighting at Ash (Mano already said the lag made Ash unflag, allowing them to rez there). Someone from Ala correct me if I'm wrong please.

    The only reason why they moved to Chillrend was to avoid the long queues of Thornblade and also because there was already competition well established to fight with.

    Although I'm glad Thornblade will be decent now, at least.

    This here, I think is completely true. I have been on Chillrend with the rest of Misfitz, for the past month and a half. I've been on during prime time almost every day since, and have not experienced the kind of lag we have now more than a handful of times. Last night, I couldn't use abilities, place seige, I could barely enter doors. It was unplayable. I've seriously debated rolling to a different alliance, and switching campaigns.

    There is a huge surplus of AD across the campaigns, and there really aren't any options for those of us on AD who don't want to play on Chillrend with what it has become. Thornblade has ridiculous queue, Azura's flips between AD and DC buff server. Haderus is an AD buff server. I don't have any Non-Vet toons.

    If you continue to ruin it, people will leave like we all did before with Thornblade three campaigns ago.

    To those trying to come to Thorn to escape lag. It is still in Thorn :( Full group was trying to take Chalman yesterday, EP reinforcements show up (a specific group), entire group game crashes because lag was so bad on flags. We get back into game, keep is red, no longer burst, and repaired. GG
