The only idea I have to do it properly would be to add strategic value to those dolmens within Cyrodiil. They have their own "tick range" of sorts and the more AP is generated in the area the larger the chance to get a good drop when the dolmen is cleared.

Maybe Dolemns should spawn daedra that seek out and attack random keeps in the area attacking anyone in sight!
Im not kidding, that would be amazing if they could manage to put it in game.

Yea and if no one does anything about it the castle becomes overrun with demons and yields no points until it's retaken

The risk is lower than the reward. Period.
You can always find quiet campaigns or quiet hours to do it. Also PvE guilds can go out in force, like they did to protect their server buffs on dead campaigns, to farm sets with little effort. It will still be faster than collecting AP at 10k-15k per hour that is the current average.
Also, outside of Master's weapons, there is not a set in the game that drops from two different types of content. I cannot get Vicious Ophidian items PvPing. Nor can I get v12 Walrock set farming dolmens.
Adding a second way to get the same gear will increase the occurrence of the item which alone will have a negative effect on the price. That's simple maths. If this second way is as easy as you suggest, then prices will collapse.
PS: Some gear (Arch-Mage, Morag Tong, Desert Rose etc) is only available in blue quality anyway. Only the sets available via the Elite Vendor are purple.
vortexman11 wrote: »No of course not, stop giving PvE-ers everything and PvP-ers nothing. In the passed update we finally got some love because the prices for PvP gear shot up so the hardcore PvP-ers with millions of AP can actually do something with it.
Let us have some exclusives for once..in order to get these sets you must either buy them for alot of gold or you PvP to either purchase it with AP or win it as a reward. And ontop of that we don't need people looking to farm PvP gear at dolmens clogging up our population...Im sorry but its true.
I'd only agree with this if they'd allow me to get warlock rings as drops from killing keep gaurds and enemy players or some of the hundreds of other sets that you don't have a chance to get in PvP.
Exactly. My biggest gripe with past elder scrolls games and why they lacked replay to me was that everything is done in a single player vacume and there was no one to admire my acomplishments. And in ESO I could really care less about questing, PvP is all that really matters for the same reason. However if the quests were involved with an actual shared story between real people (like mmos are supposed to) then I'd be way more enthused to do said quests since I'd be fighting with and against real people who are what make the game special.vortexman11 wrote: »
Just imagine waves of Daedroth coming up to the walls of Aleswell or something.
This is what bothers me...Cyrodiil has so much potential thats just not being unlocked

The problem is that there is no "PvP items market" in any officially supported sense. It would be great if PvP players got in the habit of selling gear in the guild stores, but for some reason they don't. It would also be great if AP could be purchased directly from a vendor or a guild store with gold, but that doesn't seem to be possible either.
I understand your argument, but why would I want to protect a "market" I can't really access because I don't PvP or know anyone who does?

LOL, you make it sound like it's easy for PvE players to farm Warlock rings... it's totally NOT. I have no idea where to find them, and most other players don't, either. That's why they cost as much as Light of Cyrodiil rings! At least a PvP player KNOWS he can earn something himself if he can get enough AP. PvE players, on the other hand, are slaves to the RNG. On top of that, the best PvE gear is BoP from 12-man raid drops and can't be farmed or bought by most PvE players, either.
I'm not hating on you... I hear your frustration. Please understand that there is a lot of angst to go around. I would LOVE it if I could get AP or elite PvP gear from PvEish activities like killing keep guards, and I would be happy if you could get Warlock rings doing something you enjoyed, too.

Im not kidding, this would be amazing if they could manage to put it in game without lagging the heck out of everything. But I doubt it'll ever get in since the servers couldn't even handle deer.

Again wrong, wrong wrong.
Certain PvP items are RNG like Morag Tong, Arch-Mage etc. PvPers are as much slaves to RNG as PvErs.
Also please stop with the exaggerations. Everyone knows where Warlock rings drop and if you don't that's showing an incredible lack of 21st century skills. Just google it:
"Epic v12: Drops from bosses in the Aetherian Archive and Hel Ra Citadel"
Warlock Set Link
As for the BOP gear, I only wish there was some high end PvP gear that was BoP only and you couldn't get by being a PvE scrub
Edit: The "PVE scrub" part is a joke ofc...

I should have mentioned that I'm mostly a SOLO PvE player. I've never seen VR12 Warlock rings drop anywhere I can access at will. Also, I've NEVER seen Light of Cyrodiil gear other than the rings in any guild store, and I check them all at least once a week. I'm still one piece short of a full Arch-Mage set and have been for months. So, while this gear may be technically BoE, it may as well be BoP because the retail availability is just as bad.
I don't know how I feel about your suggestion to spam chat with "WTB" this or that. I've never done it, and I feel a little uneasy about haggling, especially when I have no idea ahead of time how much gold I need. If this is the only option available, I may have to try it, though.
As for earning the AP myself, believe me, I'd LOVE to. But, every time I go to Cyrodill, it's so frickin' boring! Riding around on my horse for 5-10 minutes, then getting killed by a zerg 3 seconds after I spot the enemy... man, it just sucks. ZoS could solve SO MANY problems if they just added a few more ways to earn AP in Cyrodiil.
