Zenimax, I propose you create a separate section of the forums dedicated to bugs that people find. Right now the General Discussion category has almost no constructive content in it. Most of it is either complaints, or found bugs. So, in order to cut down on the toxicity and general outlook of this side of the forums, moving these threads else where to their own dedicated forums is an excellent Idea.

So we don't have more threads like these:
"GAMEBREAKING BUG: I CANT SEE MY HORSE SADDLE BAG."
"SORCERER/DRAGONKNIGHT/TEMPLAR/NIGHTBLADE WAS BUFFED/NERFED/ISNT OP YET"
"LARGE SCALE PVP HAS LAG."

Now, these threads can be moved to an environment where they're actually welcomed, and not spamming the General area. And for ones that are posted in General, to be moved or deleted. This will improve the overrall mood of this forum and help inspire constructive criticism.

"But if we don't scream, they won't hear us!"

Then go through the proper channels first, rather than spamming the forums hoping a PR will take time out of their day to respond to you.

Explain why? Anything constructive you want to add to the conversation?

Frog, unfortunately, this is the way internet operates now. You have whining minority and silent majority and some really dumb kids. You have to get used to it :) Just disregard stupid threads - there is nothing that you can do about that.

There is already a "General Help" section. It is largely ignored.

I find it somewhat disturbing you felt the need to create a thread about too many "toxic" threads being created rhetorically. I also find it somewhat disturbing what you leap to assuming is "toxic."

When the "only good news all the time" mentality of our fragile pampered consumer culture bleeds into the realm of support forums only bad can come of it.

It is almost like you are saying that actually posting bugs and asking for support in the support forum is toxic cancer of the puppy.

I think you should grow some armor and stop trying to be warden of the north here because nothing breeds toxicity more than someone saying asking for support on a support forum is toxic.

Most people have resorted to "screaming" on the forums because the proper channels don't and have not seemed to work since early access. A year of misleading statement, being ignored, or just plain blown off has a lot to do with this problem.

That being said ZOS has fixed tons of game issues (1.6 was the best and most needed update to date) but the communication between ZOS and the consumer.still leaves a lot to be desired.

In their post about increased moderation they did say there would be much more developer feedback. When and if that starts that will settle down a lot of upset players. The ones who are still not able to have constructive and civil conversations at that point should be banned (temporarily)until they can learn how to okay nice.
That which we obtain to cheap we esteem to lightly, it is dearness only that gives everything its value.

The "whining minority" are people who love the game, see its flaws, and want to fix it. If you don't talk about the game's problems, it doesn't improve. That's what this forum is for.

Sometimes people get heated in their complaints, but at least they care about the game. People who really hate the game don't come to the forum; they quit playing.

Also, anyone who thinks this forum is "the most toxic I've ever seen" must never have seen any other forum, anywhere, ever. This one is relatively civil.

Agree. If a thread becomes too "toxic" for me, I stop reading and responding. I know its probably not the solution you want to hear, but the reality is people can troll any thread they want to. You will never be rid of it. Especially in forums. So all the effort they put into moving these toxic threads may very well be for nothing.

OP, if you think -these- forums are toxic, I do invite you to go spend some time on World of Tanks forums. Or League of Legends forums. Those games boast the MOST toxic communities of any game out there. Guaranteed.
I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
    1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
    2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
    3) Difficulty slider.
    4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.

This thread is being locked per the forum rules on bashing and rude behavior. As covered here, one of the goals of the official ESO forums is to provide a safe, welcoming place for our players and developers to read and talk about the game. Accusing some players of whining or being toxic is unhelpful and a violation of the rules.

As for the initial request for a bug forum, the best way to report a bug is with the /bug command in-game. It's fine to discuss bugs here, especially if players are looking for a workaround or it impacts some other discussion; typically the General Help forum is the best place to do this.
