20% AP Buff for Killing Boss In Cyrodiil Delves

Yeah, good luck leaving a delve when the pop is locked. You can't warp out, /stuck takes you back to the beginning, and any support ticket will be number 6,000,000,000 in their long list of *** they should fix.

This is a crippling bug, however, this sorta makes non pop locked campaigns have 20% higher AP gain...I'll see some of you in Azuras? =D

    This!

Back closer to the game's release, there were many great encounters to be had around the cyrodiil quest towns. Only recently did people start using these towns again.

I think this will prove a boon to fans of small grp/solo style.

Sounds like a great change, but I think there's a flaw in it.

Last time I checked entering a delve is effectively removing you from Cyrodiil. When you try to leave the dungeon, if the Cyro population is locked, you get a message saying:
"The location you are travelling to has population controls in place"....or something to that effect.

Your only option in that case is to teleport to a buddy somewhere outside of Cyro and queue all over again.

Imagine going into a PvP Delve, killing the boss, getting the 1-hour buff, then getting kicked out and placed in a queue for 40 mins :)

Apparently they fixed this recently to count cyrodiil pop in delves as well. Don't quote me on this but I was informed by a reliable source, anyone recently check on how this works on a pop locked campaign?

3/4 campaigns are pop-locked in EU for any faction during prime time. The 4th campaign is usually pop-locked for the other factions but not yours, every faction has a campaign they don't pop-lock.

It's just too risky to enter a delve until they sort this :(

Is this 20% extra ap going to count towards leader boards or will it just be your pvp rank and the ap in your inventory?

Late Saturday night EP Chillrend was pop locked I was running by a delve and hopped in to see what the XP was like. I came out back to the campaign (although the 2 minute loading screen was a little frustrating). I went in with a friend yesterday while we were pop locked and came out ok as well. I am sure when I try it tonight all hell will break loose and I will have the game melt on me B)

I wonder if this isn't a typo of some sort and should have been XP. You know there are players who will want that buff constantly as much as possible. Your last keep is under attack and half of the troops are out trying to kill a delve boss in the boonies. I'm thinking this isn't such a good idea.

If they took this a step further....and came up with some kind of "incentive" for "owning" or "controlling" delves, that somehow affected the battlefield this would be ever better. Maybe if they opened a secondary "transit route" for the faction if controlled.

    Thoughts?

    @ZOS_BrianWheeler
Force weapon swap to have priority over EVERYTHING. Close enough.
Make stamina builds even with magicka builds.
    Disable abilities while holding block.
Give us a REASON to do dungeons more than once.
Remove PVP AoE CAP. It is ruining Cyrodiil.
Fix/Remove Forward Camps. They are ruining Cyrodiil.
Impenetrability needs to REDUCE CRIT DAMAGE. Not negate entire builds.
Werewolf is not equal to Vamps/Bats.

Sounds like a lot of work but it could be amazing.

Imagine, the cyrodiil map lists the delves. If the delve is controlled by a faction it has the colour of the faction. 5-10 minutes after the last player of the controlling faction has left the delve, the delve is reclaimed by mosters, belonging to nobody.

By controlling certain delves, you can unlock previously locked transportation routes, like the ones from the fringe keeps. Also controlling a certain amount of delves can give you higher XP/AP bonuses.

Monsters will keep spawning in the delves at normal rate, meaning defenders will have to keep killing them to keep control of the delve. Invaders will have to fight through the mobs to get to the delves centre point and claim the delve. Knowing full well players could be hidden in every corner. The unpredictability of who gets the mob aggro also added to the element of surprise.

This would be awesome. But loading screens for delves would have to become much much shorter for it to work.

That plus imperial city would certainly declutter the same old chokepoints like alessia bridge and have people fighting in new, unpredictable terrain :)

thats it, im done with cyrodiil completely.
  • brando_bellcub18_ESO
I noticed delves had started to fill back up when they buffed the CP gains in Cyrodiil and had been camping them for CP/AP combo's along with the farming from treasure chests, set pieces like Martial Knowledge and Way of Air can go for 10k gold and up. The XP boost to the adds and bosses seemed really good, trolls alone where giving 750xp unenlightened. The pvp delves could be the best place in the game atm to grind farm XP/CP now and adding a AP pvp buff will spread the news much more quickly. Sadly some of the delves that are currently broken with non-stop respawn rates on adds and nodes including treasure chests will soon be discovered by the masses, was fun while it lasted. >:)
Now just update the resource nodes in open world to vr9-14 with perhaps some concentrated areas found in the quest hubs and delves and we have something to fight over besides keeps. Farming flowers in the hollow city gets old quick.
Maybe its just me but this seems like prep work for Imperial City and not just related to performance lag issues which it will help with no doubt.

I picture the delves that are safest will have the most people, each faction has at-least one safe delve, DCs is inbetween Warden and Rylas if I recall right, and ADs is in-between black-boot and their other lower home keep.

Can't recall where EPs home delve is off the top of my head....but each faction has one and sorry for typos and errors.

    Hope this helps the gankers!

Not only all this^^^ ...but I can hear the screams of the dead raging because they weren't fully materialized into the zone and got ganked by 20 ppl. It's a nice gesture on ZoS' part to try and reduce lag by getting us into other areas of Cyrodiil, but uh, News Flash! This is NOT going to have a good outcome.

In today's soon to be released patch notes.........

We're currently looking at a few more hours of downtime for today's maintenance. In the meantime, here's a fun new note to whet your appetite:

If you contribute to killing a boss in a Cyrodiil delve, you will now be granted a 60-minute AP buff which increases your AP gains by 20%.

Note: While this buff will be visible in areas outside of Cyrodiil, it will only be active while in Cyrodiil.

Zerg through Delves than on to keeps?

Already see an increasing number of players in the delves that were never there before. I even got ganked by AOE Barbecue and one of his friends in a Cropsford delve.

Did you screenshot? That's like seeing a Unicorn or Bigfoot anymore.

So instead of fighting for Keeps, we'll now be fighting over control of Delve Bosses so we can farm the AP buffs.

This is horsesh*t, ZOS. You'll be undoing this in a week just like your siege nonsense.

Next week the buff wont come from delves.. youll have to Run AA and kill the Mage.
