Question on Guild Leader and "guild kick" options.

We would like to set our guild officers so that they are allowed to remove members from the guild. However, we hesitate to do this as we are not sure if allowing them to do so would actually allow them to remove the GUILD LEADER who created the guild. Can some kindly Dev PLEASE clarify this issue for us? Our guild is growing and so is our officers corps so we really do need an answer as soon as possible. Thank you.

As a GM and an officer(in two different Guilds) I believe it is possible to kick the GM if you have the permissions necessary to remove Members....

However I know for a fact that those officers will NOT be able to promote themselves to GM as you can only promote members to the rank below your own....

Not to your rank or above and you cannot promote yourself. As an officer that is, obviously as a GM you have complete control over promotions. :)

To become GM they would have to apply to ZOS for them to give the GM-ship to someone new. ZOS at this point would try and contact the previous GM to check this is OK.

Pretty sure the last bit is correct as one of my Guilds has a 'missing' GM' atm and the Deputy is trying to get the Leadership. :)

Oh wow. WHY would they do it this way? NO ONE should be able to kick the creator of the guild/guild leader. IF a GL were to disappear for months I can see other members being able to petition ZOS to transfer leadership but that's it. This is a HUGE design flaw if true.

It is a nightmare BUT simply put make sure you know and trust your officers, in my own Guild I have a deputy and one officer, we are very small so it works for us, only myself and the deputy can remove members :)

Just checked in-game, I was in fact incorrect as an officer I cannot kick the 'missing' GM the option is not there....

Sorry for the mis-information it appears as GM you cannot be removed by your officers, nor can your officers remove people holding any other rank above them, such as a Deputy. :)

Thank you for this! I'd still love an official confirmation if ppossible but I feel much better now.
