So i was under the impression, because it wasnt noted anywhere obvious, that if the guards kill you they DON'T take the bounty out of your wallet. So, after a werewolf crime spree trying to get the achievement for npc's killed, i now have zero gold. which is about as interested in this game i am right now. Zero.
Im gonna check out revan.

Meaning.... You haven't read very much about the justice system, considering the massive multiple threads of people who have discussed this at length on this forum, and other forums - and would like a scapegoat for your lack of research before you became a serial killer?

I got the serial murderer achievement in one day.
Your bounty degrades at about 7500 k a day.
Just go to Cyrodiil to play, or coldharbor to craft, pay horse, bank.
Lots of quests you can still do, just...only carry the minimum in gold...case your caught.

And I'm even still working on it. Trying to get a complete map of every Major and Minor Town in the game for Safebox Thievery. It takes a long damn time, let me tell you ;)

So you're upset that you actually had to PAY for your crimes? That's... interesting.
What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.

Of course they did! They just thought that the death and associated cost of the 10% wear to any non-sturdy items they were wearing along with the cost of.... um... nothing for resurrecting at a wayshrine was adequate recompense for a, and I quote, "werewolf crime spree". Because that is completely understandable...

    ...or not.

Hopefully you are much happier elsewhere.

just saying the combat in eso is great. I love doing dungeons in this game, the undaunted enclave is great. I'm more of an action fan, and that's what appeals to me about eso. The justice system is cool, but having guards loot your corpse to the point where you can loose all your gold, is excessive, especially when you don't even know that's happening. Yeah i went on a crime spree, but its a game. Needs to be balanced better, or at least some notification that "You have been looted for X gold."
It was fun tho. 10/10 would WW again

So one has to be a roleplayer to experience consequences for bad behavior?

Honestly, what did you think would happen when the guards caught you?

There is an icon in the bottom right corn that pops up when you start your crime spree. Are you saying you never saw it pop up or did you just not bother to check and see what that icon was all about?

Yes. And I will tell you exactly why: because it's a video game.

Rather than begin a list of every game that has consequences for committing crime, I'll just wonder what about the name "Justice System" elicited a sense of "Do whatever I want with no downsides" to a player.

Which technically is ALSO exactly why the guards rifled through your corpses pockets for your bounty...because it's a "game mechanic" in a video game.

Most gamers try to learn the rules of the game before they play (or they have a reasonable expectation of messing up should they choose to throw all caution to the wind in this respect).

Yeah, video games never make you suffer in-game consequences for your in-game actions.

Honestly, I figured they kill me, and would continue to kill me until I choose to pay the bounty. Therefore the major cities would be off limits until the bounty decayed or was payed off. That seemed fair. I got the impression that your bounty reset after you were killed by the guards because every time before that it was just like 250g, and every time I rezzed I didn't even feel that, so just figured the bounty wipes on death. Makes sense: dead men pay no debts.

Um they don't take gold out of Bank but they do take the bounty out of wallet after they decimate you. I'm sorry you don't like this but seriously if going to do the crime you should be able to face the consequences. If you don't like consequences for crimes, then you are correct, this is not the game for you.

So in other words, you thought that the "fair" resolution was for you to never have to pay for going on a killing spree?
