characters names no longer working in game.
Hello My wife and I are returning people, We made 2 characters with special characters in there names 11 months ago when the game first came out. At the time it was fine, But now we can not group or get in game E mail. It says The persons name is not in game when trying to invite my wife to a party, and she can not invite me, We are both standing right in front of each other when trying this, We have tried typing out our names to invite each other and that dose not work either, says person not in game, We need our names changed.. Both my wife and I have sent in Tickets but no one has got back to us has of yet. Is there a way to change a characters name??

And you sure you did a HELP request not bug request?
If a help request and you have ticket number and have no email from them:edit your title (look for gear on right near title) and add [Admin] or [ZOS] to the front of it. That will get attention. Then ask for help from One of the admins here in a new post in this thread. When you start typing with the @ symbol then ZOS and a underscore, you'll get a automatic pop up for entering the name.
Ask ZOS_JessicaFolsom,ZOS_TristanK,ZOS_GinaBruno if they can assist.
One of my guild mates just did this for himself and his wife. He was able to call them but he was on hold three hours. Very frustrated by that hold que. But they are happy campers now. Good luck.Master Crafter: Almost all motifs

You should be able to group by being next to each other, hitting your F key when mousing over the other person and sliding around the circle to add to group or whisper player.
If you are set to offline you can't invite to group.
If you don't put the @ symbol in front of name it will say no player.
They have allowed more characters since the new patch two weeks ago, but its still hard to whisper to you.

Yes we got a ticket number but no Email, we will try the way you said Thank you so much for responding

Customer support is currently experiencing higher than usual volumes, so the wait time for a response has been increased to between three and five days. The good news is the issue you're experiencing is resolvable by our support team! They'll be able to issue a name change to your character. Once that has been completed, you can rename them to the exact same name, special characters and all, and all of the communication functionality will be restored. In the meantime, you can receive group invites/tells by using your userID (@ name) in game. Hope that helps!0 -
