Accidental shootings

Since the new update, Ive noticed that when you are battling with enemies and there are guards assisting, you can accidently shoot the guards and they will attack you as well. Near as I can tell, this is because the guards are lootable. a patch needs to be made so that we can not pick pocket them and that should end the friendly fire issue.

Or you can set the gameplay option "Prevent Attacking Innocents" to on. You won't be able to harm justice NPCs then
I have approximate knowledge of many things.

I somewhat agree this is an issue. I was fighting some beetles and one of my AOEs killed a chicken - instantly wanted for murder! An ideal solution would be that if combat is initiated with a legitimate mob, NPC attacks are disabled until combat ends. I don't think there is really intent for "friendly fire" in ESO.

I like pickpocketing guards. It's challenging, and just plain fun. Very bad if you fail... but... you takes your chances, you takes your lumps. And guards give a *lot* better loot.

I've gotten more blues from guards than from citizens.

There isn't an easy answer for this one. It is probably not intended but how to cope with for the devs in a complex new system is a whole nother knotty mess.

Can you tell me, and others, where this setting is? and I do like to steal from everyone possible. just don't want the extra firepower pointed at me when in battle
